Stamina isn't really the problem in this it's just the very predictable combat structure of the enemy they will always throw a hyper armor attack after 2 swings and it's highly expected making parrying an enemy very predictable. Yeah there is build but that doesn't change the fundamental nature of the flow of combat. But dont misunderstand me I love the game I just think the swordfighting needs smoother flow

My idea is a little more in line with 1. Its to have fully block cancelable light attacks while keeping heavy attacks full commitment with high risk With a focus on posture. And take off the hyper armor off normal attacks on enemies. Instead favoring enemies being able to parry themselves.

Goal in mind is to have a proper back and forth deflection of blows where combat isn't slowed and posture decreases the longer the exchange goes and the first to fail to properly parry an attack causes a staggered state with increased damage.
This also prompting players to either continue the advance or back off when their stamina gets too low to disengage.

For me, they are too slow initially. I think 2hers in the game are to block/parry the initial 1st enemy hit and then go to town whaling on them afterwards.

It always seems like you're never going to get the 1st hit. They just swing too slow. Have to be patient and let them hit 1st. Then all bets are off with the 2h power.

man idk. Stalwart is ok. Its like a decent GS. Dueling is fun. It can give you the most bang for you buck IF you are good at perfect blocking. It can do the most melee damage of the 3.
Soul Eater is also decent. It looks cool. The ability is nice for chunk damage. It has the highest slash damage of the 3, but the worst scaling. If I had S scaling id 100% be on team soul eater. I just dont think its quite there yet.
I just no hit Richards with no armor and soul eater in like 2 minutes lol

Nope. Ive rerolled seeds a few times and occasionally I'll get one where the channel is shallow anough to go mostly around but not all the way

This one is almost deep enough to go all the way around, just this one little stretch. I've dug enough that I can get the sloop across it, but it really doesn't look deep enough for even the Ketch, never mind the Brig.
