One big problem I have with the food system is that I don't think they should buff stats OR I don't think rings/necklaces should buff stats. The reason for this is there's no point in the various food/jewelry otherwise. If you have jewelry that gives you AGI, for example, you can forego 10 points in that kind of food for another food. BUT you can alternatively eat 10 AGI food, and then wear another piece of jewelry. Both outcomes are exactly the same, so it really diminishes the uniqueness of builds. You shouldn't have your equipment and your food capable of buffing the same thing, because then it's just 1 homogenous pool, and they ought to be very distinct sources of gameplay affects.

I am very good at fighting. But fighting 20 enemies alone is not fun in Windrose. I just came to a 8 chest ruins and there is 50 enemies there. While i fight 3 melee guys 3 hunters are sniping from afar. You either need to fortnite it , or play like its hardest souls game. Neither is fun nor it feels good. If i had 7 mates with me the exact same spot would be a breeze

If you want to get 20 points in a stat like AGI, and you want to get 10 from food, and 10 from a necklace, and you want to be able to do that for all the basic stats, then other than vitality (which doesn't have a soft cap) why have the concept of level-based stat allocation at all? You're just going to build based on your food+necklace, and then allocate the rest into VIT and END

There is a slider for co-op scaling. I forget where but I remember it.

Example: valheim uses 40%, BUT valheim only applies the scaling to enemies if multiple players are near the enemy.
Here, its 100% by default and applies all the time to every mob even if players on the server are scattered around.
It's bad for this reason.
Normal enemy hp is 100%.
With coop scaling its 800% hp and block for every mob on the server even if players arent even remotely close to each other. (8 players connected)

Protip for ship battles in my experience: unload everything you don't need on you into the ship. If you die and are carrying the things, they get dropped there. If your boat sinks, you can just repair it at home and all your stuff is still on the boat. Saves you a trip.

They do, but it's not meant to be seen from the helm of the ship. You'd see the light and the crate easier in the dingy while at sea, but it's easier to grab on your ship.

When i click parry my character isnt confused. When i dodge i clear enemy. Stats boots what they say they will properly and as you play it you are trainted to feel the entire sections of the map. Here mobs are in random possition agroing when they dont see you and there is little rime or reason how it works. You can not learn the level just its just bubch of rocks and trees and there is a disbalance in what different gears do and power they provide. Souls enemies also have reactions scripted so you cant easy find a chese position that breaks their ai. The game works with itself. Sonething i cant say for current Windrose melee combat

To be fair parries are garbage at the moment. Especially compared to a game like Valheim where they are exceptional in their usage potential, responsiveness, feedback, etc.

i.... personally wouldn't see crit damage as a consistent stat tbh
i played a crit build
i swapped off of crit and have full damage investment instead of crit. works much better against normal enemies and everything that is not the last boss

They just found a formula that they like to base their games on honestly. Whether Skyrim, oblivion, or morrowind was better will always be a debate of opinion but saying “the elder scrolls died with morrowind” is just completely false because it was oblivion and Skyrim that earned Bethesda their popularity

The thing with morrowind is that it had a billion times better writing, but the gameplay is super dated, I will prefer Skyrim’s gameplay over morrowind’s any day.
