for sure, the way i looked at it is blackbeard frigate hp = stock ketch, so technically i just havent upgraded any hp since the upgrade... And for sure if you get a good volley off on the 24 pounders you can absolutely WRECK enemy ships... thats why i like this game so much though, seems everyone can do things slightly differently and still find success 🙂 many ways to conquer the seas!

Yeah I can imagine because I was doing a quest that ended up taking me to the foothills and when I touched down on the shore there was a PoI there near the shore that was guarded by a 2 star level 10 wolf.... Even though I am playing on very easy mode (solo and suck at combat) it was still brutal running back and forth to my ship and going through potions lol It took forever so yeah I know I need to gear up! haha It's just such a purty biome lol

Early Access doesn't have a set "date for 1.0", it means that the community can basically "playtest" as the updates happen. 1.0 "full release" could be 1 year, 5 years, 10 years.. who knows. Nothing is demanding 1.0 is coming any time soon, enjoy that you're along for the ride

If we're going of what they were DESIGNED for... kinda. The chainshot was originally designed for something completely else but that aside, it was inteded hit the masts. If a mast was hit with a chainshot, bye bye all sails, you're dead meat. But then again, there wasnt that many naval battles. Pirates were the diplomates of their time. ANYWAY

They should be working fine if shared is on the server, however both or all parties need to be on same quest - so if someone is just joining they will have to catch up to the others. then you can all progress together. If someone was offline - they do not instantly catch up and skip all the quest content and xp - they wiull still need to catch up.

If pvp gets added it will only be like in the form of a toggle for a server - you'd have to set it up on that server - will never be something where you can cross server raid or jump into a pve world and pvp. But they mentioned they may allocate resources to do something on that - see here - #💬│windrose-chat message - but it will not affect pve players in any way.

You will eventually unlock everything from vendors - so up to you - Brig still better than Ketch - look at all stats and keep in mind you need on a slow ship - esp if a large hold - to be able to defend against faster ships as a slow brig against 4 or 5 fast Frig means you may snap like a twig. Just be mindful of what ships you go near when sailing slower and you be fine and not loosing your mind.

Trees Do Not re-spawn, But if you get seeds you can replant them. Recommend replanting for decorations in a base layout. Ore and baskets (like what herbs are in) and bales (like gunpowder is in) – re-spawn every 6 hours. Pepper and other crops are on a 2 hour and mobs are also on a 2 hour timer.

Balanced around you being smart and thinking before engageing. Use sound tactics - you can shoot npc's on enemy ship before boarding and while team fighting, If you have the boar you can jump over and deploy it for added meat shield, if you get low hp - get back to your ship and heal up, make sure you have food buffs on - Just watching where the fighting is and not jumping in like Leroy Jenkins ahead of your crew is a good idea 🙂

bandaging takes about 2-3 seconds, bleed can take you from 30ish percent to 0 in that time. Rn the way I deal with bleed is chugging a potion the instant I get out of the animation and bandage up. The numbers on the bleed debuff is a bit excessive, its managable but still leads to a lot of "feels awful" moments

Left slot is tactics. You can get them in tortuga. Right is boarding gear, you should be able to build from the same place you made your other gear

Damage is primarily from upgrades and ascending yes, but stats do help a little bit. As does your talent tree

There are several faction bases that you can sell goods for each faction to. Tortuge mainly has bounty rep(faction turnins) and vendors to buy from.

not in tortuga - the people of tortuga are spread out in their own faction areas on other islands - you'll need to find them, or do your quest line and it will bring you to them.

Vitality is my second highest stat, and I am still getting one or two shotted by most of the things in this game on normal diff, despite also the pikeman's health perk, upgraded armour, and a full belly.

As someone already said, it's like you have 5 hp and the enemy has 5000 and does 400 dmg
