Demo will run until Early Access and demo is ruffly only about 5% of what will be in Early Access. Explorable area of Archipelago in demo is only about 2.5% of what will be in Early Access. Early Access will be announced in the #news when it is time. See the latest post here#│announcements message with some QoL improvements requested from feedback by the community 😉
As far as price and packages, that will most likely follow Early Access Release info. Also, characters, items and buildings will not transfer to the Early Access, it is part of the demo – different client, different game builds – See Dev comment here #💬│windrose-chat message. So enjoy playing the demo for now until that time

So short answer on Early Access. Early access is Soon to be sometime in 2026 🙂

I don't entirely mind how quickly I got the small selection I did, and I assume the secret weapons you can find are not going to be as simple to come across

Friends just got me into this today. About 5 hours into it. The three of us are slow grinders and we over-gather a lot in survival games. But it's been nice and relaxing so far. (I come from 7 Days To Die and Valheim, have played Raft, Grounded and Icarus).

I did have a freeze up with trying to eat the crab meal from my hot bar, slot #8. But if I replicate that I'll submit it to #1298615153209638942 .

I think as you get past the very basic stuff you'll find more developement into weapons and how they feel- Early beginning gives very minimal exposure. Also the traits, and stats on the weapons, gear sets, etc. will all feel more impactful as you get further in. Feels a bit more complex and choices matter more as you fight harder mobs and have to choose wisely on your builds and fighting combinations or weapons. At least for me in last Alpha it felt much more impactful as you got further in, though they have since added traits and adjusted combat a bit more. A lot of feedback was on combat so will have to wait and see what Early Access has in store 🙂

The rifle/musket has more range and single target dmg, the blunderbuss is kinda more like a type of shotgun closer impact dmg on a wider area, short range.

What I truly like about this, is that the base experience of the game is more forgiving when compared to Valheim. It makes for a more chill and relaxing experience despite of challenging combat

Yeah I got that. What I meant was: the basic workstation doesn't mind if it has a roof or not, it doesn't even care for a proper foundation. You can build it literaly anywhere. The other stations do mind however, some need a roof, some only work without a roof.

those early guns required less skill to use and learn than training a good archer, but when you have a good one those arrows will be hitting stuff.

Iron, Gunpowder and some other things are not in the demo. They are already in the game for Early Access. Gunpowder can be easily picked up from farming pirates and pirate camps have a cloth bale that respawns with gunpowder in it.

for how it is in the demo now, i can see things being expanded on at some point, be it number adjustments, higher scaling in some respect (like higher stacks for some perks) or whatever but i dont know whats on the radar. it depends on where some weapons and armor-sets go as well since many things are just diminishing returns or straight up Overkill at some point xD

PC randomly crashes when playing some games. Mostly Windrose or anything SteamVR. I dont even get the courtesy of a BSOD, just instant crash and reboot. Very annoying. Ive run memtest, no memory problems. Ive run sfc /scannow and drives are fine. Ive wiped and rest the entire machine twice, same issue persists. Ive run Haven benchmark at full and no problem but furmark has induced it twice. Ive resat my CPU twice but issue continues so Im thinking either something in the motherboard is dying or its the PSU. I have no idea.

Issue started end of january shortly after a windows update and NVIDIA drivers update. I got no clue whats wrong

the top fan, i can slide that up a rail and take it out easy. on top of the heatsink theres a broader solid strut...thats roughly where the second fan is that i can reach at all

have you tried gently pulling at that "be quiet" cap? it might come off easily. haven't had that specific tower cooler, but similar ones. it should come off easily to grant access to the underlying fan

I get that. But as long as you unplug the power cable (!!!), get yourself grounded (i.e. touch a heating radiator), and do not touch any components like mainboard and graphics card with anything else than your bare and dry hands, nothing should happen.

I also tend to use a soft-bristled paint brush for cleaning tougher surfaces, although that could be a mistake, and I'd trust more hardware-inclined people to weigh in on that one.

the pace can be a buit "weird" at first , basically all the reviews that had been made with less than 8 hours of game were fake , but after that amount of hours , you realize you are STILL in a sort of giant tutorial , (so again , another layer )) so yeah you sort of keep trying to keep the pace i barely started going to another province in the game , i have 77.4 hours of game , havne't played these past two days ...

you are free to do as you want , but without some abilities you will probably miss 50% or more of whatever you may discover without it . and that's what most of those reviews were saying , by empty worlds , limited this or that , no fishing etc ... when in fact , there is fishing and many other activities , but the game introduces it alongside a main quest

to me , nowadays it's refreshing to be able to be rewarded in many aspect both as a newcomer to a game as much as a daily player , as Mick said , it's addictive . and rewarding . and fun , because then you learn how to use this or that more efficiently , then suddenly you rmemeber that waterfall , or that tower you saw in that place , that had a strange symbol , then you travel back there on your new horse or TP find back that place and discover a hidden wall leading you to another area or treasure . it's impossible to not enjoy that as a player .

many games lately run into the mistake of not really looking at what they got it seems. a lot of stuff comes out, gets flak because reason (runs bad, feels bad...whatever) and a massive day 1 patch is needed for stuff a blind man would stumble across within 2 minutes so to speak

so , anyway , yes , a very pleasant surprise this Crimson Desert , perhaps not for everyone , but as i said earlier , it seems i'm part of a "lucky" group that had no graphical issues and being able to run all maxxed out . only the controls are frustrating enough at time for me to be contemplating the human sacrifice as a viable option to improve them faster if allowed.
