Controversial opinion here but I also thought rdr2 was extremely overcooked, depressing and way too linear. I don't get the hype for it other than the world they built was incredible. But I wasn't a fan and was glad to finish it. Maybe I expected too much being an rdr1 obsessive.

Wood use your ships chainshot on islands, stone go into caves, caves respawn every 2 irl hours, when you run out of wood on islands make a new map. The thing you're missing is a crab shell... grab the little ones on beaches, it's a rare drop

If you already unlocked the ship then it's good in any new map as well as any quests you have done in the OG world. What's left is to mine/harvest whatever mats you need in the new map then hop back to your OG world

When early access comes out, if the building isn't to your liking, I'd say put stuff in #1298615271686279208 vs bugs. The clipping MAY be intentional as to not "lock out" how some things may look good combined. Granted to me it seems like a bug but others may find it useful in some cases

i generally just work around building systems in games and sometimes like using a non perfect snap IF i can also get the perfect snap with workarounds

i had destroy and rebuild for like an extra 2 hours

so i mainly just find it troublesome and inefficient... but i guess i can learn to avoid the snap issues over time. but even that seems unecessary if a game gets the building coding right.

yeah but i dont see it as wrong as i like using imperfect snaps or at least have that option, in a perfect world the pefect snap would be the main and imperfect the option but i see your point

it provides options... maybe? people say this. but i dont see why i need an option to snap 2mm left or 2mm right... i just want to line up my wall with the other wall, and not have it messed up all the time.

the only time i need options is when im custom designing a circular stairs or something

im able to get a basement this deep if you build in mountain area. pretty good. you can actually have a foundation that is 2 feet from the ground. but gives you 3 meter deep basements? 2 meter?

the ground wouldnt lower beyond this point for some reason.

Right but digging can only go so deep. In a lower leveled area, maybe you can only dig 1-2 strokes down whereas in a high leveled area you maybe able to dig several strokes down. That's pretty cool though and would make for a good jail house in a cellar.

Building "One Cannon" is fine enough. considering that you upgrade them over time. and the game as built in rarity systems so there are stronger and higher rarity cannons out there allegedly which you can also upgrade and swap out.

You can also have multiple ships and eventually larger or a variety of ship types.

So making "one cannon" seems perfectly fine in the long run

I've had no issues running this game on Linux. However, it does not have official support for Linux and probably won't. To be honest, most titles don't either and they seem to work fine on my Linux installation.

i tried the game for 2 hours, i died on the 2nd island twice and i dont think ill be sailing back again. the combat might aswell be turned based. i like the game, it looks good but the game becomes tedious after like 5 deaths. the tutorial sucks, the resource gathering is okay but the amount of resources needed for crafts slogs the game. all in all prolly will forget about this game

Well if I see my gear and food consistently sticking around in my inventory while loot like copper and wood doesn't upon dying, then that seems the intentional bit - if you're not losing anything at all you might either only be carrying gear or it bugged a bit
