Someone was killing the imp boss, but the person killing it died, the boss reseted, as soon as it recovered its HP to full I got it on me. Tanked and killed it solo, but the kill got credited and loot assigned to the other person that died.

Normal mobs do not reset HP so I assume there might be some rule like "whoever delt more dmg gets credited" even tho it is odd due to the KS protection system in the game, but that system is buggy af it seems. I already got murdered by mobs that were KS protected when I tried to kill them to protect myself after some jerks mob trained, and now this. Still doesn't make sense that once the protection is down and you can have the work killing it that the credit doesn't go to you no matter how much you have det.

Well, I've had a scorpion king kill credited to a lowbie once, and he got all the loot. I doubt its just damage dealt, unless the guy was there for hours or something

Oh my argument was only for normal mobs. It is impossible someone have more damage on bosses since they reset and you have to deal their entire hp in damage alone or with your party. Due to the ks protection.
