First char to 10k : gets you current season 10k mount
Second char to 10k : gets you previous season 10k mount (or the last one you "missed", or just one of your choosing?)
This would create an additional reason to push on different chars, maybe ? Less FOMO, you can skip a season and still get mount in the next one.
I'd also see a version where you could do this by reaching 11k, 12k etc, for those who really want to main one char only.

For the people that got the mount during season 1, it showed that within that season they were good enough to get it, why should that be deminished because either you sucked or did not play during that time?

In my opinion season 2 has been done dirty in terms of difficulty being thrown out the window unless doing higher eternals, i dont expect the game to change just for my POV.

This is something i could be onboard with, since it doesnt take away from someones progression as they were not difficult in the slightest to obtain, just required an hour or so gameplay at low levels

I like how FFXIV handles seasonal event cosmetics. New ones every year, and the past years ones go the mtx shop. Effectively, if you were actively playing, you're saving money, if you didn't, you can still get them by supporting the game.

This just isn't how the world works. It removes the nostalgia and remembering previous times. It's a reward not a pay to have thing.

Honestly, kind of but not so much that but because they upped the drop rate or something then also added that event where you could get it if I'm not mistaken. Which don't get me wrong was kind of cool but sure that does kind of tarnish the uniqueness of it.

Well, the thing is.. it's on the same line right. Because wow didn't start off doing all these things but over time and time and time.. they are where they are right... so once you open that door just a little then the next thing they start asking for it to let you do it easier.. let you do it this way.. so little by little they request more and more and cry more and more. It's honestly better to just put the foot down and the start and say no.
