Queue system has made the game unplayable above 40, please fix, the lfg is basically dead because of the queue system and its impossible to find a group that doesnt instantly disband because we dont have a mutual dungeon we can agree on

Before the queue system it would take me 30 minutes or so to find a group on either my tank(42) or healer(45). Right now it is taking significantly longer because of dodges, this is also me swapping in between EU and NA because the people who dodge instantly requeue and you get them again over and over for 10 minutes until I either swap servers or just take a 20 minute break

At this point just remove the queue system so I can play the game again, if I take a 2 week break to wait for fixes im likely not going to come back to the game despite how great the game is and im sure the feeling is mutual for others. This current system is just a game killer

Please for the love of god just make it so it gives people a list of 4 dungeons that would give the party the maximal amount of rating, for example, I queue with a party that is at 48, 44, 42, and 41.

Give us 4 dungeons which every person in the party needs, and all at different ranks, for example it would give us storm watch 41, quarry 40, cithrels 37, and tuzari 38 because these would be the optimal dungeons to do for rating for the party or something like this, obviously this system would be hard to implement but I could give 100 more examples of better ways to do it than "self organization" which doesnt work it just doesnt work im so sorry to say but everybody is racing to the top and or doesnt want to do something that is not going to give any rewards at all.

Nono, you don't understand. It works so well that he'd rather not play than picking the faster alternative.

We all knew these rants would pop up the second they introduced eternal queues, and when/if they introduce specific dungeon queues we'll see rants about "muh no one wants to play the dungeon I NEED", not to mention leavers will still leave specific if the group isn't to their standard.

Obviously the developers are trying there hardest but I cant see anything more worth their time than to fix the eternal queues, and im just hoping it gets changed/hotfixed in the coming days

with the affixes in place people are only willing to do 1/2 from the 40-42 range because of the affixes and nobody above 42 is willing to do them

Because I approach the game in a social manner, I don't just join and gtfo all the time. If I end up with people I enjoy playing with, who are also vocal and enjoyed playing with me, we usually play more than one dungeon and end up on eachothers friendlist. Maybe, and I'm not trying to be patronizing here, have you tried doing these "lower" tiers with the people you end up with and see if you find people you can continue playing with?

  1. The queues have to be based on rating instead of tier
  2. Your party should be given a list of dungeons sorted to show which dungeons will give your party the most amount of rating
  3. You shouldnt be able to queue into the same players if they dodge the group for a minimum amount of time (5-10 minutes)

However, I don't think you really understand why it doesn't work for you.

Also, I upvoted any thread that asked for new tiers up until 20 so everyone can have their own little bucket.

But you know what will happen when they do that ? Your queue will be really long, and you will complain about that

  1. No, that's the worst idea, because of the way the rating works, this wouldn't work at all
  2. This won't really work either, because the dungeon that gives the more rating to the team as a whole might give you no rating at all, thus not really solving the leaver issue, also this is more or less what is already happening, the system proposes the highest dungeon possible
  3. If you are matched with the same player, it means that there aren't anyone else in the queue, so the only thing that your idea will do is increase queue time for everyone without any reasons.

You have a social issue... no technical solution will solve that.

  1. Why would 1. not work at all? should a new difficulty not be able to be unlocked by rating rather than highest complete?
  2. You shouldnt be able to be paired with people that dont have a mutual dungeon to complete or what is even the point of pairing you together?

I do talk to everybody that I queue with but unless you've experienced it you maybe wouldnt get it idk? It is just queue find people they dont say anything and then instantly leave before you can even type, how is this a social issue? but nice person attack I guess?

I am not trying to argue with anybody here im just trying to advocate for the game that has trapped me for 4-8 hours a day since its release that I love playing and I am not sure how else to voice my concerns over the system, I really dont want to have to take a break from the game but its simply much harder to be able to play at the moment

My own rating is pretty low because I raised "quickly" through the ranks, should I be force to time every dungeon at a difficulty to be able to progress further ?

Forcing a rating will slow good players by a lot.

  1. the population queuing in the higher tiers is already really low, if you only pair with people that all benefit from the same dungeons, you will increase queue time even more. Also, you might not want to do the dungeon increasing your rating the most. It's a delicate balance between queue time and matching you with people having the same "interests".

I think the real idea is to help eahc other out "I do one for you, then we do one for me"

What I meant by social issue is not that you had social issues yourself, but rather that there is no "technical solution" to this problem. People need to communicate together and help each other out. You cannot be selfish.

As an example, read https://discord.com/channels/1254866410258038845/1446420003841769584 the guy has around 50 people that want to do the same difficulty as him... a queue will never work for him. And you are pretty near that level also.

You either need to make friends that are on the same level as you, or help people that are lower to get to your level, that's what I meant by "social issue"... a queue is only as good as the number of people that are in it.

I dont quite get why when climbing through adept-paragon you get a choice between levels of dungeon but once you get to eternal you need to unlock the next tier, why cant it be that once you get to a new bracket, lets say 20-25, you can do any of the difficulties until you've hit a certain rating and then you can progress to the next tier. Idk im not the one making the system of course but the current one is unusable and im sure CR will make a system that is great eventually.

Seems that the only solution at the moment is to quit until the system is changed which is likely what ill be doing. If there are no players to play with as the post suggests ill just have to wait until next wipe.

That's a valid point, but it's only partially related to the queue... this was already causing issues before the queues were introduced

If you’re getting reque’d with the same queue dodgers over and over, one thing I’ve done is just run a quick QP (something you need to do anyway) and by the time I’m done I can queue eternal and have a different group since the first queue dodgers have found something else out (I agree with there being issues with the system, this is just something I’ve found that works for me in the current version of the game)

Yea another thing you can try is swapping between NA and EU to find new players, or just waiting 5-10 minutes in between queues like you've said and do a quickplay or something

I play the game because I find it fun to play, I do dungeons that doesn't give me rating to help out others and build connections, not to mention that low chance to get an essence bonus dropped.
If your only drive in this game is personal gain (in rating), head over to #1436360457538506863 and find someone to boost you every step on the way, because something tells me you'd find a premade and leave when they want to do a dungeon someone else needs, but not you.

easily 80% of the posts about season being over or peoples goal is hit is about 10k so i safely assumed 10k is a goal in general community perception, but to me 10k is nothing i wouldnt even consider it casual

What if there’s no one that needs e46 in existence and the only thing is to either wait for people to make it to e46 or to play with players in e42 until they make it to e46.

But what if those players in e42 can’t find a partner to play with because there’s no one in e42 so they quit. Then there’s no one that will play e46 either.
What if you just sit in a e46 queue for 45 mins while the e42 guys find an e50 player and that e50 player helps them make it to e48 then you’re still stuck at e46 and that team doesn’t want to play with you anymore.

The best thing you can do is play a game with players that are in a lower tier and hope to develop friendships with them and start pushing together.

If there is NO ONE in the queue that needs E46 then its absolutely fine to never be queued. Regression to the bottom is never ok.

Your last sentence is a DELULU's dream envisioned. This is a competitive ladder's gamer. I will NOT invest a minute into someone's other keys if it does not benefit me. People I queue with compete with me on the ladder, so from my point of view they are competition. There is 0 incentive to help them

From a solo queue standpoint, if the goal is to get to the 0.1%, isnt it perfectly normal to think that you dont want to help anyone because it would make it harder for yourself?

As someone who wants to progress.
The queue is useless at literally any level.

My main is at 50+ (nobody uses the queue bc it's unusable above 40)

My Sylvie is currently at 19.
I want to progress that means I NEED +19 or +18 capstone.
But the queue takes already 15-40 minutes to even activate. Then I'm either stuck in a group who can do 16 Max or a tank who will instantly leave for no reason whatsoever starting the process again.

The game does not have the player base for an automatic queue to work in a decent way.
Especially if you have the option to queue into stuff that you absolutely don't care about.

If you don't even set the new checkboxes which are clunky as hell to use then you can even end up in a +2 Max group.

I want my time to be valued. The queue systems ultimate goal is "speeding things up" but as it currently is due to tank shortage/heal overflow, big queue brackets that makes everyone unhappy, a very very VERY thinly spread tiny player base across 80 levels + forced Quickplay + challenge makes it impossible to achieve that goal in the first place.

And yes, on my +24 progression Meiko I get only 2-5 minute wait queues just to leave it again bc it throws me into a group at +20 max which I don't need.
