This game is fun but will NEVER replace another game for me, especially WoW, once you get into Eternal and do like what + 5 it gets insanely boring and repeative, and now with resets every 2 months to 0...nahhh, if yall reset to 0 and dont at least consider a soft reset like maybe to Champion so seasoned vets dont have to deal with Contender and Adept derps every 2 months, i am OUT

Resets are planned to typically last 4-6 months, not 2. EA has been known that resets could be shorter or longer because they need to at least test a seasonal reset before 1.0, which is going to be... A reset.

If you play on reset patch day I'm pretty confident you'll climb out of the muck and weeds pretty quickly, or maybe just find a community of similarly skilled players and make a 4 stack so you don't have to deal with solo queue.

Also it's ok to have a side game, like you don't need to commit 100% to enjoy only fellowship. If there's content that gets you interested in coming back after a reset (chronomancer healer anyone??) then it's ok to play for a week or two and be done until next season. That's literally how Poe and Diablo operate

And it's not like reset means you have the same star map just set to 0 and do it all again. They've said talents, abilities, kits, everything could be on the table for overhaul with a new season. Maybe there won't even be a left side to grind out. Maybe your hero will learn spells in different orders, maybe gem grind will be tossed out the window and replaced with a new end game system

Ive switched to this game from wow even tho i have the 0.1% titel in wow from M+ just last season. In my opinion, this game does the concept of M+ straight up better and more engaging and less boring. Until Now and Midnight you had 4 seasons in wow aswell (which means 3Month per season btw)
The reason people put clown emotes is because you articulate your (probably reasonable) concerns in an aggressive way without stating that its subjective. Of course the reaction to this is 🤡, because its clown behaviour

I gladly remind you again that i wrote that I (thats what 'in my opinion' usually indicates) think the concept of M+ is implemented very nice. Even better than it is in current wow again in my opinion.
Obviously you are right that Wow has alot more content to it. And if you play it for the Raids or for Completion or Farms, Cosmetics, PvP, whatever it is, then obviously this isn't for you. Because this only focuses on what is the equivalent of M+ in wow.
So your 'complaint' is the equivalent of you logging onto Animal Crossing and going to their discord writing "This game is fun but will NEVER replace another game for me, especially WoW" Because Animal Crossing JUST has Housing and Midnight does Housing AND all the other things you like. Honestly I'm surprised it's taken this long for a game to tackle wows combat design unashamedly, it's clearly going to lead to healthy competition and innovation between the 2. Interrupt tracker on health bar?

Like yeah FFXIV has raids, but they function so fundamentally differently at a core level that you can't really compare the two

I think with the Changes to the next wow expansion they are already trying to get rid of addons + Simplify Classes a bit (both things Fellowship has the privilege of starting with :D) so im excited to see what they can do in the next few month. Obviously wow has alot more to Focus on than a Fraction of their game like FS has to (even if a big Fraction) Overall I'd love for both games to grow obviously - at heart i like them both alot haha

It indeed is, every new season your last seasons gear is just enough for you to start the grind all over again.
Wow isn't a game I'd compare fellowship with, a fellowship reset will be less of a grind than a new season on wow.

@primal walrus this game is being developed as a dungeon runner. Its not your typical mmorpg its setup more like a moba, hence why the call it a moda(multi-player online dungeon arena) the game is designed for this specific purpose to run endless scaling dungeons. The game is in early access, its not even in a full release state. Wow is a 20 year old game that's made a ton of money ripping off there players with a monthly sub and shit cosmetics. On top of that wow is a horrible game for those who have jobs and a life outside gaming.

It's ok to like the idea of a game but not necessarily agree with the current state. This is early access for a reason, and feedback both positive and negative is warranted. Just that it could be addressed in a more constructive manner

Multiple and multiple rounds of pre-EA testing, tapping into one of the largest online communities' player base who found M+ grindy (WoW) and still railing in that 3k concurret LOOOOOOOOOOL. Imagine JUST MAYBE the game didnt force you to do 35 quickplays to get your boxes or do 6000 dungeons to get a single essence bonus gear which is required to hit gem cap in your gear. (not even gonna bring up the fact that whispers werent working for a month after release and no eternal queue when the ENTIRE end game turned out to be a discord LFG simulator)

i don't start with 5% crit 2% haste 10 agility every 3 months. i get improved stats until reaching very high stats and THEN the hard reset drops with a new addon. in this game you start EVERY season with 0 stats and grind again. that is the difference. you get a feeling of getting stronger every season and not restart the grindpain farming again and 0

All im saying is WoW has had so many stat squishes and hard resets that its gotten ridiculous at this point. Yes i still play WoW, hell ive been playing mostly WoW for the past couple of weeks again. I got into PVP and have been having a blast. That being said, if you cant see the glaring issues with WoW then Blizzard has you by the balls insanely hard. Like why the hell do we have 20m hp in pvp? And yet even with that 20m hp we still get 1 tapped (technically 2) by a marksman hunter?

Midnight is bringing another stat squish, but how long till we reach insane heights again before they do another squish? Don't get me wrong, i do enjoy WoW, quite a bit actually, but Blizzard doesn't have a chokehold on my nuts either.

Also in all seriousness, just because you enjoy WoW doesn't mean you can't appreciate Fellowship. I reached my goal for Fellowship EA, so I went back to playing WoW. Anyone can do the same, Fellowship is 100% going to have a hard time REPLACING a MMORPG. However, every season of Fellowship will bring players back, once they reach their goals for the season they will likely move onto something else. Everyone's goals in Fellowship may be WIDELY different than the next person on the partylist in their dungeon and that is OKAY.

You're still weak af in relation to the new season, and the grind, assuming you want to pull your own weight, is still more grindy than what a fellowship reset would look like.
So you might just as well start with 0 stats, because your gear will be replaced with the first item that drops.
