#Tariq Talent and Legendary Synergy (thoughts)

After playing Tariq for a while and reviewing the talent and legendary options, it feels like there is no synergy between some of the legendaries but I believe there should be.

Culling Strike Legendary:
Right now, there’s little reason to run the Culling Strike legendary unless its numbers are over tuned. It has no talent support in the tree that makes it feel good to play with the legendary.
You’re missing an easy opportunity to add something like:
• “Culling Strike now cleaves up to 5 nearby targets (reduced beyond 5),” or
• “Culling Strike gains +1 charge,”
or literally anything that ties the legendary into the tree.

Face Breaker Legendary:
This has the same issue, except you do have a talent "Left Hand Path" that should synergize with the legendary. But instead of allowing the legendary to spread the DoT through LHP, the interaction is disabled. Even if the intention is for players to manually spread the DoT, I can confidently say nobody wants to do that (unless you're a psycho). The legendary should feel empowered by the talent tree, not restricted by it.

Cloak Legendary (example):
The cloak legendary is the only one that does synergize with the talent tree through Mouth of War, and it feels great. This is exactly how others should feel.

I’d like to hear other thoughts and opinions of this as I’m not active in the Tariq chat but something I wish was a thing. I’d just like to see diversity in builds, and I will admit I’m assuming that is what they want with legendaries. Instead, you are running the same talents between legendaries which doesn't feel right.

If you see Ardeos clearly someone doesn't understand that single dotting things is not fun for most people, its just an annoying nuisance that creates an insane ramp or you just drop it. Give up the single dot dream devs no one wants it.

They may not think it’s as serious but from my point of view it’s a big deal to have legendary and talent point synergy. If they don’t, we will be running the same talents between all legendaries (maybe not mouth of war but that shits op so we still will). Make it interesting and allow the Left Hand Path talent point to synergies with the legendary neck dot. It’s an easy fix and will actually be cool to play imo. The culling strike legendary needs more work (in the talent tree) so I don’t expect changes like that anytime soon.

Theres alot of things about them that I find concerning

they seem to not understand melee's when they aren't stronger than range, but have all of the usual melee weaknesses makes them undesirable

I agree in a way but I think this problem is mostly for Tariq than Mara tbh. Tariq has a bad utility button and no mobility since leap smash is used for dps. They seem to believe Tariq is overpowered which is why I don't think anything is being done about it but we will see. I do agree that Range is easier as a whole in this game than melee but could argue range is harder on most bosses.
