fellows.gg has a super helpful items database. In addition to that the in-game dungeon codex has been a massive help for getting accurate item data

BUG: Locked set pieces are not being considered as contributing to a set. When locking a set bonus piece it recalculates to add another set piece in a different slot. Locking enough pieces yields an error that you can't complete the set.
(Tested with Helena, Torment of Bael'Aurum set, legendary neck)

• You can now Load Statistical BIS, which will update your breakpoints to match an average from the top 30% rated players for that hero from fellowshiplogs.com

• You can now click a button to have the tool select commonly recommended weapon, legendary, and relics for your hero

• Implemented the ability to swap out an item by clicking on the item itself in the gear list, so you don't have to go into the settings and mess with dropdowns

• Improved the Dungeon list at the bottom of the page to list the recommended items that come from each dungeon, their slot and stats, as well as a checkbox which will lock the item (signifying that you've obtained it) and remove it from the list

• BIS Groups now available. Create a group and invite your friends to track everyone's gear in one shared list. The list updates in realtime when anyone updates their gear. The invites work even if the friend hasn't configured a hero yet!

In regards as an additional piece of feedback. The "Recommend Gems for Me" Also implies that "These gems are BIS" However, they're not always the BIS... (They also in some cases just go full X Color where X is your "As much as possible" when I'm pretty sure you could drop one into Diamond and get more benefit from it...)

I'd recomend you imply that the recomended gems are just there to boost your secondary stat values when selected.

Some updates today

• Introduced the concept of "item ownership". You can now lock an item so that it doesn't change with gear recommendations, but leave the "owned" flag unchecked so that it will still appear in the Dungeon Checklist for you and your groupmates
• Improved some of the UX at the top of the optimizer page
• Set bonuses have moved out of the settings menu and into the primary stat panel
• Added support for an "Any Dungeon" section at the bottom of the Dungeon Checklist to include things that can drop anywhere, like weapons/relics/legendaries
• The estimated stat totals now display stats lost to Diminishing Returns

I was wrong! The Diminishing Returns formula I came up with which worked pretty well up until ~26% (the limit of the data set I had available to me), pretty quickly fell apart after 26% post-DR rating numbers. It turns out the DR formula is actually tiered after all, but uses values that multiply with all previous DR modifiers, culminating in roughly 58% rating efficiency beyond 25%, which does not increase beyond that.

Credit to ZiggyZobby and CheeQu on reddit, and @solid pine on discord for bringing this to my attention. The information on the site has been updated along with the calculator widget, as well as the math performed by the gear optimizer tool.

MAJOR update - Fellowbis now has a fully functional and customizable GROUP FINDER QUEUE with Discord integration

How it works:

• Join the queue with your hero and desired group settings
• Get matched automatically with compatible players
• Discord channels are created automatically for your group
• Browse any page on the site or do whatever you want while you wait - you'll be notified when your group is ready

Features:

Two queue types:

• Push Groups: Match by league (Contender/Adept/Champion/Paragon) and tier, or Eternal range (e.g., 11-15, 18-22)
• Gear Farming: Match by overlapping dungeon needs using your gear optimizer checklist

Smart matching:

• Role-based (1 tank, 1 healer, 2 DPS)

• Overlapping dungeon interests for gear farming

• Compatible Eternal ranges for push groups

• Optional "goofy" compositions for potentially faster queues for farm groups

• Queue solo or as a partial group (2-3 players looking to fill roles)

Automatic Discord integration:

• Get a DM from bisbot when your group is ready

• Private text and voice channels

• Direct invite links

• Works even if you're not using Discord

• Shared dungeon checklist when matched (if you've used the gear optimizer on that hero before), showing everyone's needed items sorted by dungeon

It did for a bit. We need more people using the tool to make queues pop while region selection is enabled. Spread the word 🙏

I can turn region selection back on at any time, but I figured (and a few users suggested) while the tool is young it's better to have more queues pop than to split the pool when it's already spread so thin from the huge range of dungeon difficulties the game has

Updates today

• Some of the LFG queue status language and messages from bisbot are more clear
• Removed User Email from OAuth2 scope when you sign in on the site using Discord. I don't need your email and didn't mean to be requesting it in the first place.
• Added an Import Gear button to the Gear Optimizer screen to make it easier to update your gear when you get unplanned upgrades in game. This is available on desktop only (unless someone convinces me they keep combat logs on their phone (or unless fellowshiplogs.com fixes their API so I can add that as an alternate import method))
• Improved reliability of gear imports in cases where the latest player entry in the log is unusable because it came from a Quick Play, where apparently your gear is "overwritten" with unobtainable invisible items as part of that gameplay system
• Imported gear that is locked during the import process is now also flagged as "owned" so it won't show up in the dungeon checklist
• Added visibility for what your stats would be without gems and set bonuses
• Drastically shortened the URLs generated by the Share Your BIS feature
• Major improvements to the LFG queue's expiration handling. After 45 minutes it will try to get your attention and ask if you're still there and still interested in finding group members. You have 15 minutes to confirm before being removed. You can confirm via button from the bot's DM, or via the site. Confirming resets the check-in timer for another 45 min. This will hopefully solve the number of queues that popped after being forgotten and then people were no longer able to play
• Re-enabled region selection, and made it required to reduce the number of separate pools by 25%

• The LFG queue now reveals any players currently in queue who are compatible with your selections, with the ability to copy their friend code so you can get a jump start on forming your group manually, if you like

@royal sleet if you get around it, I'd love to see some QoL improvements to the Item Database:

• For each found item, list % of both secondary stats. Example: Haste +163 (55%) | Spirit +134 (45%)
• Add a new filter "Secondary Stat" (Haste, Spirit, Crit, Expertise).
• For each found item that has a set bonus, add a distinct Set tag (similar to the colored Hero tags).
• For each found item that is a Legendary, add a distinct golden Legendary tag (similar to the colored Hero tags).
  • With that, add a new filter "Category" (All, Standard, Set-Bonus only, Legendary only).
• Add a distinct Dungeon tag, indicating in which dungeon that item drops.
  • With that, add a new filter "Dungeon" (Wyrmheart, Stormwatch, etc.). Best if you can check/uncheck multiple options.
• At the bottom, show how many pages exist with the current filter (not only Page 1) and add buttons to jump to First/Last page (not only Previous/Next page).

LFG Feature - Complete Overhaul

Core Features:

• Looking For Group is now Looking For Groupmates. Subtle distinction, but a much more useful approach for a tool like this.
• This tool will allow you to configure your current progress and your interests/preferences, and **passively **find compatible players to play with
• Tell the tool when you're available and get matched with other players at a similar level of progress who are also available at those times
• Real-time compatible player display with live updates, and Discord DMs right when you need them

Availability Scheduling:

• Weekly availability calendar with drag-to-select hours for detailed, quick configuration
• Timezone-aware scheduling
• Discord bot sends DM notifications at the start of each availability window with a list of compatible players (if you are authenticated with Discord and in the FellowBIS discord server)
• Shows availability overlap ranges with compatible players. If someone is compatible but not available when you are, you won't be matched with them

Matchmaking:

• Match by highest dungeon completed (league + level). Works for all leagues and Eternal
• "Farm" matches within the same tier regardless of level. Highest dungeon completed for each listed player is still visible in case you want to farm a higher tier
• "Push" matchmaking with configurable range - choose to make yourself available for lower tiers than your current level, if you want to
• Region matching (NA, EU, Asia)
• "Vibes" preference matching (sweaty/casual/any)
• Smart role-based restrictions (tanks/healers can't match with same role)

Discord Integration:

• Requires Discord sign-in and server membership (Discord DM limitation, I don't make the rules)
• Bot DMs you compatible players list at availability window start
• Includes friend codes, roles, regions, and availability overlap

UI/UX Enhancements:

• Minimizable LFG banner (sticky button in bottom-left when minimized)
• LFG button vibrates when new compatible players are added, so you can see when new players are available while you're perusing the Gear Optimizer or any other page

Technical Improvements:

• Resilient polling with automatic restart on tab visibility/errors, should improve reliability of in-app realtime updates

Fellowshiplogs fixed their API! That means we can use them for gear imports now (even on mobile)

• In addition to gear import via combat log, you can now optionally authenticate with Fellowshiplogs in order to be able to import your latest gear from there at the push of a button, even if you're logged in on another device with no access to combat logs (I won't tell anyone you're checking your gear out on your phone at work)
• Improved error handling on combat log import when the most recent log only has Quick Plays in it (where your gear is not logged so we can't import it)

Pre-Season 2 pre-patch updates

• The two new heroes, Sune and Lisa, are partially implemented in the app.
  • They are both fully supported in the LFG tool set
  • They will be available in the Gear Optimizer and Import Hero tools as soon as I'm able to populate the database with all of their new items and other hero data
• LFG system improvements:
  • If you are in the Discord server and reachable by our bot, you are now able to change how often you receive player match updates. You can now select from Daily updates, Weekly summaries, or no DMs at all
  • The LFG queue will now attempt to remove inactive players. Once a player has been in the queue for 30 days, they will be asked, both on the site and via the Discord bot (if eligible), if they are still active. If they say no, or don't respond for 1 week, they are removed from the queue
  • The LFG queue has been reset to ensure only active players are being matched. Feel free to join the queue ahead of time to find people to push with on day 1!
  • Fixed a bug where you could sign up for LFG, then log in via Discord, and sign up for LFG again, and thus have two entries in the LFG pool. The system will now correctly detect and migrate LFG sessions no matter if/when you sign in/out
• Fixed a few items which were available to the wrong hero
• Retired the dedicated discord server invite URL and the server tag for now (too expensive to fund all the server boosts by myself). As an alternative, https://fellowbis.com/discord will function as a redirect to the default permanent server invite URL
• "Load Statistical BIS" and "Recommend Gems For Me" features are temporarily disabled as we won't have data on post-balance change meta/advice for those things for a little while into the patch
