How to OTP Kayn?

Hi, Im a bronze player that has been playing kayn all day for the last 2 days, and have some questions and would like some kayn tips and tricks.

Am I supposed to have high ish damage? usually i do 12k per game while teammates are around 22k.

Is blue kayn viable if you went standard red kayn runes? Just wondering since he seems like you can change your class mid game, but dont know if blue kayn with conquerer and half a goredrinker w/ plated steelcaps makes sense.

Yes your supposed to have high dmg no matter what

Blue kayn does ridiculous dmg and can 2 tap squishies if fed

Red kayn can drain tank 3 members of the enemy team

I’m pretty sure you go first strike for blue kayn and or in general

Go assassin build for blue and goredrinker bruiser build for red

And b4 game starts decide what form you will choose based on enemy comp

Lots of squishies? Go for blue kayn

Your team needs a frontliner and or their team isn’t that squishy, go red kayn

Have rune pages for both kayn forms but I believe they both use first strike anyways

Don’t be the guy that builds goredrinker death dance then goes blue kayn like the people in my games

Hey I used to be a Kayn otp and peaked at one of the top in Europe… Best piece of advice is to join the Kayn mains discord, not the subreddit

As for your question, sort of but you shouldn’t do that

You should decide on your form in champ select based on the enemy comp (based on how squishy they are, not CC or ranged) and change runes accordingly

Once you get v experienced with him then yes you can take other things like the latter into account but for now, keep it simple

Blue Kayn can kinda work with conqueror and is fine with Goredrinker but no point going tabis when you can go lucidity boots

Hence, you go lucidity boots on both forms anyway unless (for red Kayn) the enemy is almost all AD or AP

And yeah you should be aiming to top damage charts in good games though obviously it’ll take time to get better

you do insane damage and still heal loads

you become less of a drain tank and a bit more of a juggernaut

And also, Kayn is infamously known for being able to just fucking cheese the shit out of the enemy jungler

Hopping over the Baron Pit with Q at level 1, then yoinking Enemy junglers Raptors, Red Buff, Krugs, leaving a ward (Optional), then immediately dipping the fuck out with E level 2 and go to your blue buff or gank top

However, if you choose to not want to cheese, no problem

Your clear speed is also pretty fucked up

sometimes it heals me for like nothing sometimes i get like 10 percent of my hp

I think it heals more if your lower, and it also heals WAY more the more enemies you hit
