#ADC in high elo feels hopeless

First of all I'll apologize for the bait. Recently I came to realize that if you are not playing snowball lane bully adc like Draven and even if you do there are multiple factors that impact your lane and wether or not you win the game before your performance.
Those factors are:
-
If your support can adapt to your pick, for example you picked Kaisa and your support locks in Yuumi into Draven Nami or Ezreal Janna lane. No matter what you do, you cannot win this lane without outside help. If you are left alone you bleed a few cs and lose few plates, that just prevents you from impacting the game until mid to late game (no biggie)
-
If you get ganked, roamed on and fall behind. ADC,s don't have high base numbers, their damage is meant to scale with items and durability with levels, if you are behind in one or both your usefulness is much lower than any other role (that would be behind) because you do not bring anything else to the table except damage.
-
Your performance most of the time depends on your whole team. ADC in a winning team will always perform better even if they went even or slightly feel behind in lane, it's just harder to focus them and fed allies make for better front line.
Why am I speaking of this, I just wanted to went ig, I believe there are more things than that, but that is everything I could write from top of my head.
It's just frustrating to be unable to impact your lane or outcome of the game just because your support picked the wrong champion. Sit under tower for 12 minutes, go even in cs, lose the game and have that happen several times in a row. It ruins your mental.
I mean it can’t be 100% the supports fault most of the time
adc is useless in high elo but 3 of the 10 highest ranked players are adc mains and another 2 support mains
while i get that obviously doesnt say it all
imo adc is even more impactful as you climb as people generally know how to play around them better
obviously it depends on ur support as well a lot but thats just a given in a 2v2 lane
anad getting ganked or roamed on... like yeah great that sucks but try playing toplane and then get back to me on that one lmao
I'm stuck in high elo oh noo
I know that, the thing that generally sucks when you play adc is being behind. If you get behind you are squishy as you can't build defensive items, you do no damage as your class is designed to scale off items and only items for the most part. You don't have any cc. You will be back into the game if your team manages to hold with a useless vegetable until you get enough cs to buy around 2-3 core items. Outcome of your lane is mostly decided by your support, not fully but they have more impact overall. You can't engage most of the time, you can't really poke except (for example AA + Q on kai'sa) unless you play sivir or varus but who does that? I'm just saying that adc is fun if you have a favourable support match up or your team is winning. As an adc player you need to play a lot more games to climb since there are multiple game factors that influance the game before you can. It took me around 100 games to get from unranked to masers as supp, meanwhile as adc I'm at 300+ games stuck in d1 in random demotes to d2.
this is just a tradeoff of the class
if youre behind, get fucked
if youre ahead, do the fucking
if the game was always evenly matched I'd say that adc is one of the best roles like in pro play in solo q it's tilting the hell out off me
you might find that if you buff adc base damage or something to improve their performance from behind but then reduce their hypercarry ability you are gonna make a lot of adc players cry
i mean nothing new they are crying all the time anyway but still
that is true
tbh Idk what I'm talking about anymore
I'll just play and see how it goes 🙂
ADC in high elo feels hopeless FTFY
hahaha
I have the same feeling when playing Azir except the jungler thing instead of the support thing
I like most azir mains they tend to have very good mechanics and because they managed to stay where they are when azir was weak, they feel super strong even tho he is only semi-viable now.
I had 66% winrate in a lot of games even before the durability change when Azir overall had like 44%-45% winrate
Mostly because mechanics/laning micro/teamfighting micro and some macro + wave management needed
Also azir mains tend not to tilt nor leave games, him being a high skill cap champ and almost at 50% win rate rn I'd say azir is in a way better spot than he was half a year ago.
Definietly
In the last 500 games I think only 20 where I wanted to surrender
Tryharding until the last secounds
I like playing until the nexus is destroyed, there's always a slim chance you win or learn something, always better than just going ff with no after thought.
also this is what I love about you guys
This was today
Normal game, but still
I played Azir adc
my support the lux stole farm, trolled and messed up my freeze in the wave resulting in zac flanking us from behind, I couldnt farm and the lane went bad
But later on I kept 10cs/min
until the end of the game 30 minutes troughout
joined every good teamfight, defended towers and we won
2v8 with irelia literally
well irelia was always going for risk 1 for 1 trades
and had 0 macro
but she was enough to hold the enemy for a bit so they cant push that fast
and I pushed 2 lanes took 5 towers
and lategame I just solo pushed midlane alone while the enemy was inting to irelia
and won the game
they had ALL towers except one up at minute 20 iirc and that one is what I took when my team inted and I didnt wanted to take a bad fight
we had like 6 towers missing
then we only had the nexus at minute 25 or so
I defended alone until inhibitors respawned and then we pwned them completely since they were so sure to win
The problem is in ranked most people become a lot more tilted and throw game more than in normals
even if I try to hardcarry everything
