#How can I be a better top laner?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I'm not a top player but one thing I know is that top is the most counter heavy lane out of any other lanes
Maybe abuse these counters when you pick after your opponent?
But if you're not experience on these champions I wouldn't recommend it
definitely not
Better to play a counter matchup
then to play some random champ that you don't know how to play
And no, just because you played Poppy 5 times in norms, does not make you a Poppy player
I did also mention to not play the champion if he's not experience it just in case replies like this happens. Guess it still happened anyways
I think it's just a pointless tip
Eh pointless reply
Low elo players should just focus on lane fundamentals instead of having the perfect champ pool
You won't climb very far or at all
That's kind of what I'm getting at. you just worded it differently
If you did, then that's my bad. I thought you were trying to recommend low elo players to create a large champ pool
Well first of all he did not say anything about low or high elo. It's all assumptions on your part
Are you just baiting now?
And wanting me to respond for some argument?
No I just dislike how every person I met on the internet act like they're high elo when they're probably not diamond
And?
And? That's my line sir

Remember YOU reply to me. Not the other way around.

top lane is my favourite lane
I do not have many other tips than what have been said here, but make sure your champion pool doesnt contain the same type of champions. Now, I don't mean don't play 2 fighters or 2 tanks, just that in case you are going against someone who picked a counter, make sure there is some form counter to that
e.g.: you play a champion who gets countered by Jax because he can block AAs. If you play more champs that get countered by Jax, you could be in trouble
this is kind of specific and maybe obvious, but I did have a problem with this when picking my pool
of course, not a lot of champions that have similar mechanics get countered by the same champs, but the chance is always there.
What i recommand is a: tank killer, bruiser, fighter and a tank.
I personally dont lijke tanks so i make sure i can go against tanks with an anti tank or i can use a champion that works against anti tanks
top also has a low priority and usually is the "weakest" role. by that i mean you dont have as much impact as other lanes. Do make sure your presence is felt!
