My friend is new to league and im trying to find him mages that play like brand

Heya so my friend picked midlane for his main role and i was looking for more champs that play like brand, or mages that build liandrys or demonic, he really likes champs with burns etc, i was thinking about malzahar. (malza goes liandrys)
