Support champions?

There are some support champions like Sett or MF, what makes them a support? Just MF's slow and Sett's pull/stun? And do you have to play them in any other way if you do support with those champs?

Mf support is pretty much only the poke and slow … its not very good

Sett support can be decent i mean its sett

The pull/stun is decent you do great damage you have your w

You can do some cool plays with your r to ult ppl into tower

Support Miss Fortune is a result as a direct counterpick to Zyra meta some seasons ago. her e will melt most if not all of zyra's plants. making her basically useless. You could probably still pick her support but it's just not worth it unless its that fringe scenario again. or with an adc with hard cc like Varus, Jhin, Ashe who can combo their ultimate with yours well to set stuff up.

Sett is basically just a bully that becomes a bodyguard after laning in the game. think of it in the same vein as pantheon support when that was a thing. this is mostly due to having decent-ish base damage along with getting damage through building health and some minor ad
