i tried playing him and he does no damage its impossible to trade i had a game as him against akali and my whole q e auto does the same amount of damage as her q and i just got bullied that entire game

you need to farm into late game as viktor, as he is weak at the beginning without farming for his passive (upgrade) but his q is pretty strong lvl 1 so you can abuse it early

You trade with your e, it goes pretty far once you learn how to aim it right.

Play aggro. I have won early game easily with viktor a lot of the time just autoing and abusing my shield q auto reset, in a match up like akali which is imo one of my worst since I play scaling mid laners usually I just play for cs and poke. Play to help team when you can and pushing the wave with your e since akali takes more time to push than evolved viktor e. If jg is pinging to gank try poking her down a bit and baiting to use e, if you're really behind just start building zhonya first item so you don't get one shot and play to only farm with e.

Q/E/auto attack poke when she goes for minions

you can safely farm and you dont have to play agressive, try to match her roams or ping a lot when shes out of lane

wait for gank, if jungler is focusing on other lanes/invading, just chill and farm up
