I play consistently well in Emerald 3-2 but the moment I hop in platinum games, I struggle. Why?

Just as the title says, I find it easier to play with teammates and to communicate with pings to better decisions when I play in emerald, it just feels more competent to me even if they feed, the games feel redeemable. But why do I struggle so hard to win streak consistently out of plat? I feel like if I was really a high emerald player, plat 4-1 should feel like nothing to me no matter how dumb or stupid my teammates run it down.

I know how to close out games, My jg tracking is good, itemization, runes, plans. When my team loses too hard though, I begin to ask myself what I can do to bring it back even if I have a small lead.

Because you expect to always win.

The individual lobby doesn't matter. The mmr doesn't matter.
Their smurfs vs your inters doesn't matter.
Winning and losing doesn't matter.

You expect to win because you're a couple hundred lp higher. The prospect of a loss, or things in general being "out of your hands" feels different.

You're not as good as you think you are, plat players are not as bad as you think they are.

I had the same issue as a Master Tier player playing in P-E Lobbies. It´s all mentality. This Split I kept cool, disabled chat, and skipped right through those elos.
