Apex tier MMR decay

Riot said a while back that masters+ MMR now decays after a while, does anyone know how long it takes before this kicks in?

Iirc it was a dev blog/video a while back to improve returning player experiences, I can't quite seem to find it now

The MMR decay is significantly longer than LP, there's just very little documentation for quirks like this in high elo

don't think i've ever read anything about that

for anecdotal evidence on my smurf i ended with around 400 lp mmr like nearly a yr ago and only started ranking on it last week and i started in 200 lp lobbies

from streamers i watch, i know baus has let multiple challenger accs decay and pretty much all of them stay master-gm tier even if he logs in over a year later

like horse tongue for example iirc

Ya the rate/floor/delay of decay would be nice to know, I assume the floor is somewhere in high master

Since it's targeted at returning players I assume the delay is a long time, I guess it's not really much of a worry for most people
