As a human being I would say get out and find something you like to do
As a League player i would say that this game is going to take time to learn as well as time that you are going to be losing, a lot. But if you focus on wanting to get better such as watching vods of other players as well as your own, getting coach, and focusing on keeping a positive mind. You will climb.
I'd suggest norms (draft if you want standard rules+champ select instead of how swiftplay works (I personally like that swiftplay is setup to have reduced snowballing compared to reg. mode)
That said, if you want to play ranked and actually climb, find a small number of champs that you really enjoy and work on them, a lot. Review your owns games (best way to learn and improve)
if you like playing casual.. just play the casual modes?
if you never narrow down your champ pool or lanes at all then its not really worth playing ranked... mostly bc its nearlyu impossible to climb high doing that since your always learning new champs and relearning roles so you will have very little time learning the game as a whole like the strategy around winning etc since your mental stack will be focused in champ and role specific skills... either at least narrow down a champ pool and whatnot or prob just continue enjoying league in norms especially bc you will have slightly easier games and therefore can enjoy popping off more :)
It's a game. Play how you want and have fun. Some people have fun by trying really hard to win. Some like to try new stuff and explore the game. Some like to play a specific playstyle and only that playstyle. Some just screw around.
Its a game, games supposed to be fun. If you like to play rankeds casually - so play it. If you want to see ranks up - you need to be honest with yourself. What do you really want in this game. Only you can answer this question, as should you quit as well
