You can still win against Renek with Yone/Yasuo, Yone has a better chance of equalizing/winning the lane though.

The only real realistic way Yasuo wins Renek (apart from one tricks) is if he messes up laning phase lvl1-2. You are stronger than him during that state and you need to hard abuse that whenever you can. Lvl3+ is when it starts to get harder, your safest option is to get quick trades with your passive up.

I advise to also skip T2 boots and rush BORK. 1100 gold into Beserker does nothing into your lane if you struggle with dealing against Renek. BORK gives you a better chance at dueling and you can go Steelcaps

yone and yasuo do win renekton, u have to get lvl 2 before renekton and play aggresively to trade

manage your wave properly and force him into taking a shit recall, track enemy jung pathing to avoid fucking up wavestates and exposing yourself to a gank.

take exhaust and be aware of renekton’s fury and how he gets it. kite him out and u will be fine if u space his W + Q

Its already been said, so I second quinn.
Has an easy answer to renkton's strong engage, can harass him while said engage is on cooldown, and is generally better at making plays around the map/teamfighting late.

Renekton's best matchups in emerald+ rn are into Yasuo and Yone. So while in principle they can win it, in practice, you have to play way better than the Renekton.

If he plays safe he loses level 2 prio if he is that scared to walk up level 1. But most people don't know that, reality is most of the time you are going against Reneketons that pick only because he counters Yasuo. Of course when you hit GM+ it's a different story regardless if that player mains renek or not.

Counters only exist if you truly understand the match up, otherwise it's 1 trick favored/person that plays the champ a lot
