learn how to clear and path efficiently in the jungle, begin to learn how to gank

#

learn objective timers too

#

learn about what lane priority is and how to tell when your allies have it (and what you, and they, can do with it).

1.) Beginner stuff-

  • Pick a low micro jungler like Master Yi, Warwick, Nunu, Shyvana, or Amumu to learn the role before delving into a more demanding and complex champion.
  • Learn how to clear effectively. Learn to full clear by watching a full clear from a one-trick's video and try to replicate it best you can before you start branching out.
  • Pay attention to the behavior of laners and take note when ganks fail or succeed and try to think why (lane has good gank setup, enemy wave was shoved, enemy champion is vulnerable to ganks).
  • Learn objective timers.

2.) Moderate stuff-

  • Find 2-3 champions to play that you enjoy.
  • Learn lane matchups to properly plan your full clear and how you'll path.
  • Learn what champions have strong objective control, even nonjunglers like Jhin and Chogath.
  • Learn counterjungling, even if your favorite champion doesn't utilize it so you can identify patterns and champions that typically do it.
  • Learn wave management to properly path into favorable ganks.

Figure out what lane you want to path toward. Generally as a new jungled you want to full clear then either contest scuttle crab or look for a gank on the lane you pathed towards. There’s SO MANY things to learn you just have to watch perrry jungle or tarzaned. Jungle is considered by many to be the hardest role because it’s the most macro heavy role and you’re playing the whole map not just one lane.
