But it seems like the macro tactics seen in those videos usually don't break down to iron

Ya, i haven't had as much fun with other champs. Like there are other champs I know I'm better at when it comes to just killing the enemy but I like playing a game not just clicking a point.

Main reason I play ekko is because old duo that died before I played ranked often and I would duo and I'd run ekko mid. Just a pref thing now

It's a rough one 😅 I find the mid and late game damage to structures makes up for this plus 1v1 potential, but it's hard to figure out where to be/pressure when there is little coronation in pushes and such until usually late game versus mid game.

Iron players don't really understand what/when/where to be on the map, so split pushing is basically free wins in that elo.
and Ekko is pretty decent at it too.

That's what I've found is a big game winner, finding more appropriate times than just when the enemy team is all on the other side of the map is what I'm practicing now

That's one of the ones I find too easy/not fun to play but yes can definitely climb with him
