how to build as sylas?

There will be times i will dominate early game but fail to do any dmg later on. I find myself guessing in some items. Like tankier enemy comp or squishies. Rod? Protobelt? Lich Bane? So many possibilities

Tbh might just be a comp issue, short of building void staff/cryptbloom for magic pen or a lot of CDR, you might be better off picking something like Aurelion sol to deal with tanks like Sion etc

Oh i see and somehow going with the popular build like lich bane or protobelt

I deal like no dmg but when i go seraphs i deal dmg

But i’ve not seen much sylas players build it so idk

Something I figured out long time ago that made my Sylas decent was that Q does most of it's dmg on the backloaded part (detonation), so you want to combo like E1->Q->E2 (so that they can't move out of the Q and take all the damage).

Yeah high CDR items means more spell rotations, cosmic drive might be good as well

Against squishies you will be able to get 1 rotation off so high burst from lichbane is better

like i said it depends on the enemy team comp -

if there are a lot of ranged targets/squishy targets you want to go electrocute and have a more burst dmg build with lichbane/protobelt and rabadons/shadowflame/stormsurge -

if there are a lot of melees/beefier targets you would want to go conqueror with lichbane into some resistances/hp and cdr so you can live longer and get more spell rotations off

Sure it takes some skill now, but tbh, it's not that hard to do and it's amazingly potent if you land it.

Lich babe is good for somewhat consistent dps, but stormsurge shadowflame+sorcs gives so much burst at 1 and 2 items

liable to overpen squishies w/ that much flat pen, hat 2nd after storm+boots is probably better most of the time.

I feel like Cosmic Drive is super good into tanky comps

In general you want high AH options+core AP items (must haves like deathcap and % pen item)
