look it up, im not good at explaining it
Working on macro means you need to review your games and look at your decisions about where on the map you went and why and think about them: What was I trying to accomplish? Did it pan out? Why? What could I have done instead? etc.
You also should work really hard on map awareness (this one's been a struggle for me over the years but I'm actually good at it compared to my MMR now, but it took a long time for me to get there and I aware that it was a weakness of mine).
not recommended for new players btw
I think it's a good habit for newer players to get into if they're serious about improving at the game (if not, just go do what you enjoy then). Ideally they'd get some coaching (where the coach reviews the game with them to get a sense for how to learn from their own games).
new players do bad macro decisions because they don't know what would be best
it would be better if a high rank player (master+) would be reviewing their vods
they should only start doing their own vod reviews around mid plat
if memory serves, OP's message before they deleted it said they were p1/e4
I think a gold player can learn something from vod reviews on their own, especially in between coaching sessions
(it's one thing for a coach to teach you some new ideas, another entirely to learn to recognize when and where those ideas apply)
hi im op
yes im e3
i have been trying to review replays and caught myself a few times dying for the same nonsense a few times
If you have a high elo player just point out mistakes thats going to develop bad habits
The reason why vod reviewing is important is because you need to train your critical thinking abilities
Anyone with a brain can tell "me not flashing there is a mistake", but the difference between good and players is their ability to come up with why that circumstance happens
