Players shouldn't be punished when the client crashes, desyncs, or has another problem that kicks them from champ select/game a player can't control. Myself, and several other players have been having issues with the client bugging out, then putting them on queue timers when it's not their fault. Anything on our end we could check such as file corruption, networking stability, and speeds were fine. Riot's client itself just bugged out, and players are getting punished for it

How are they to know it's really a client issue and not someone alt+f4ing it, etc.? They can't, which is why the penalty stands, as annoying as it is. Also, riot problem or not, it still affects the other 9 players in the game.
Can't do anything about it besides stop playing their game and writing a post on Reddit to fix their client as a protest.
Whenever someone ever has a game issue, it's almost always solved by a clean installation
new client needs a fully new code which would cost a shit ton and riot is not going to spend money on anything that won't make them more in return
so I have massive issues with the client ever since the Vanguard patch. After a while it starts to lag hard to the point I cant change masteries in Champ Select and picking a champ has a 5 second delay
pretty sure everyone has been having issues with the client since vanguard, including me
I've only managed to fix it by fully exiting the client after every 2-3 matches
yea most of the time i have to close the gaame from task manager and reopen it after every match
small indy company, they cant possibly have the cybersecurity talent to fix this with out doxxing you lol
its a small thing but ik my buddy and myself both have league on our non work computers, we dont pull up work files just as a precaution bc none of us really trust vanguard or riots methods of protecting user data
