How does one deal with garen?

I will have a lot of brainlets coming to the post to put the braindead comment of "Just kite garen hajkshdkajshdkjashd". That doesnt work when you play champs that have to get in melee range to fight him, not even adcs can kite a feed garen. I have tried to outdmg garen but his Q+SB+E+R doesnt allow me to even react before am already dead. i have tried with briar, lillia and shyv. Only lillia "can" 1v1 him, buts its the most scuffed 1v1 in history. Doesnt help that garen can simply run away if hes losing the fight because of phase rush, and his passive is just gonna heal him back up like a warmogs late game. So do i just hope garen doesnt reach his powerspike too soon or is there any champ that can deal with him effectively? (Saying "just cc him" doesnt count as his W gives him tenacity, so stuns arent gonna save the situation + its solo Q we are talking about 1v1 scenario).

"its solo Q we are talking about 1v1 scenario" if your mindset is this, you should be losing tbh. You dont 1v1 a top laner if you know you can't beat them, its not your job. Your top is supposed match top and when you have a moment to make it unfair, then do so.

But other than that, the only way to beat a Garen as a jungler is play a champion that deals a ton of damage which is not dealt by burst or CC. Stuns will save you regardless if he has W or not, the W only stops the initial stun of any CC when he activates it since he gains Tenacity for only .75 seconds, any other incoming CC will be the regular CC time. CC is Garen's worst enemy, in fact that is pretty much every AD melee champion that relies on getting close to you to do damage.

Solo Q is a team game, the only reason why it isnt is because people are too busy flaming each other.

If solo Q isnt a team game, why does it matter if your midlane goes 0-20? Or why does it matter if your top goes AFK because you arent ganking them? You can 1v9 every game for sure right? League is one of those games where it is heavily more team dependent than other games and they are mainly FPS games.

I mean PR is always problematic when used. but Garen may only have Q, but he literally goes full movespeed/tank. Stride, DMP, FON, HB, etc

Items are problematic sometimes, whyy they are nerfed. Old prowlers, old stride dash, Current HB, old echoes

all the items Besides HB that garen builds arent problematic, but together they give him 700 movespeed which makes him very hard to kite

yone dashes are either his ult, A decent one that ends him back ,or one that requires 2 Qs first which yet again, 600 move speed will make more distance. but yone's also BS cuz of HB and his W buffs

His passive is nerfed so badly since Season 9, he isnt even strong because of his Passive. In fact you can let him regain his HP in lane all he wants it doesnt matter.

Its his ability to do one of the easiest if not the easiest 100-0 combo with no risk at all. And if everything fails, PR is just there to safely kite away.

PR is just the main issue and its good that they are realizing that to nerf PR for melees

100-0 is not really an exaggeration at all, just look at Stixxay's HP in 2 seconds with just SB/Cleaver lol.

Of course its a different story if they peeled for him and more so Stixxay just threw that fight by going in alone, but that alone says something. Now combine that with how weak solo queue is with coordination, the chances of Garen literally 1v5ing the entire fight is pretty high, even at Diamond level since Ive seen it happen.

Draft matters of course, but in reality, its just pretty much how badly uncoordinated people play

In that sense, it would "feel" like we cant do anything against him because it truly does feel like that

I don’t play top anymore, Garens just more annoying to deal with as he’s much harder to kill and much harder to mess with than the other champs. Can’t dodge camille abilities, kite jax, but can’t dodge garen funny q e whirlwind so it just makes boring gameplay and his tan lines scales very fast so even if he is behind he still always poses a threat

I’ve been playing a lot of j4 lately and you can’t really toy with garen like you can other top laners as well as he is hard asf to peel from your team as j4, can’t ult cuz you just end up getting guillotine pinged after your adc somehow gets into the ult, and eqing him is annoyingly difficult with his 900ms
