emerald is supposed to contain the d4 and d3 players of previous seasons. Althought with the lp gains these last few patches and no promos i imagine p4-d3 players will end up between e4-e1

actually a great change since the skill gap in diamond was painfully obvious between d4 and d3 to d2, d1. makes alot more sense to have diamond encompass previous d2 and d1 players

pretty sure emerald is supposed to house p3 to d4 ish players, for the most part all the tiers move up one so gold players are plat, silver are gold, etc

ah, lol it's weird all master plus players including challengers all start at emerald 1 and I think have around the same gains, most of the low master players ik have rlly bad wr now

that might be the case but theres no way of knowing its success until next split. Alot of people avoid early ranked grinding

idk if it's same everywhere but i played in plat/emerald rank in euw and it's insanely toxic actually seems to be a good idea to avoid rank

yeah my experience exactly. i thought it was just inflated egos with the new inflated ranks everyone was getting but honestly even on my smurf its the same sht. Ill try again in a few months i think

Percentage wise, emerald is the new plat, plat is the new gold, and silvers were sorted into silver and gold
