So over my time playing league i've played a bunch of different champs in a bunch of different roles, but only recently am i starting to get into ranked, which means i need to try and focus my champ pool down to a fine few, but the problem i face is that when i find someone im like "oooh yes this is amazing" i quickly burnout and do not enjoy the champ, im not sure if it's a mindset problem or if i just havent found "it"
#Having trouble finding champs i can consistently find "fun"

i have same issue, its just you have the flavor of the week champ
makes me wonder how otps can do it
ACTUAL
i mean im kinda addicted to kat rn but i still dont know how people can play hundreds of games of one champ in a row, no changes
even if its some hard champ like irel or yasuo, its still the same kit and build wise usually
for me just go through champs, see who you feel like playing or catches your attention and lock them in
ill try
Fun usually comes from the champions fantasy, yasuo being a menace swordsman etc.
Fulfilling that champions fantasy can be very fulfilling and keeps onetricks satisfied to just play that only
It can be kiting on adc, oneshots on some mage, outplay on a assassin
i see
so i need to pick a champ with an interesting skillset, and something that fullfills an interesting fantasy
Yeah but has to do it for you, it just kinda happens for most people when they see someone else play it
I watched montages of a Korean player on Viktor and it got me really hooked, when my friend played 15 ish games of Vlad with me suddenly I fell in love when I never thought about the champion before, they have been my mains ever since
i think i know exactly who to play
I like playing champs with versatile builds like kata. kata can go ap , ad , on hit. but like you said I don't really understand how people can get millions of mastery on champs
Just spam 1 champ
You can get 1 million mastery in a year if you play like 4 games a day with around 50% wr
but even then it gets boring the more you play that champ
at some point youll find it more interesting to get better and better with your champ than learning a new one. Anyone can learn how to play any champ after 30 or so games with it but after 100-200+ youll start to see the small things that others dont
so i guess find 2/3 champs you find fun from the get go and try to get better and better witht hem
Yuumi
Who'd you pick?
you cant leave us on such a cliffhanger!
Honestly, I was a yuumi otp during the pandemic. It was undiagnosed depression that allowed me to play 6 hours daily as yuumi. Tbf, maybe focus on a type of a champ? I enjoy healing and shielding my team, so champs like yuumi, sona, soraka, and nami make my brain go brrrrrr. Nowadays, I play a rotation of healer supports.
I play a different champ every single match and often different roles too, I know exactly what you’re taking about
I haven’t played a lot of ranked, but what I did was lock in an easy and fun champ and play 1-3 matches, then stop playing ranked to do smth else or play draft, whatever. Try to play just a few matches or try to play every champ and pick a few you like more to see how it feels to play them 2-3 matches in a row (if it’s not as bad and 5 matches in a row is fine do that)
Since you’re also a top player who do you play? Or what class
That’s what I did with Swain mostly in the mid lane. He can be a very fun champ but he feels weak right now.
I played Swain enough to get 500k mastery, which isn’t much compared to many others but it’s still my highest for sure
He then became boring after the durability update, and now I’ve moved onto Viktor for norms and ranked. I wanted a champion that you’d see in higher elo and amongst average players
Neeko is shady af 🤣 I don’t like her being a minion when I’m innocently in lane trying to cs
Wive killed people before bc of this
Count your mf minions
Gonna have to because sometimes I don’t notice the extra one lmao
that's where the fun comes from - utilizing a limited kit to its fullest potential
of course, i am nowhere near its fullest potential as a sad silver elo player, and i do occasionally wish i had a dash or some movement ability, but part of me otp-ing is the process of stress-testing the champion's limits with what i have
the other part is to trigger my friends who beg me to play any adc other than ashe
Ok maybe, but I need to know the psychopaths who are like “yeah I’ll one trick anivia and malzahar, these are some fun and hard champs”
honestly usually, the more cancer it is to play against, the more fun it is to play
It can't be infinitely boring though, can it, if you got 200k mastery on a champion then 1 more game would feel like a drop in the bucket and wouldn't be boring imo
At a certain point the champ would stop being boring
Like how in single player games you're always the same character with the same mechanics
I've spent hundreds of hours on dark souls games where you're just a guy with the same simple abilities to roll and swing your sword
Or in fps games like counterstrike where you use the same guns all the game
I decided on viego because i like the shadow isles
viego cool champ
its gonna be rough though, he struggles alot in ranked
he can carry tho
true
he can build ADC he will be fine
You can also just play draft and go whatever u want
