That’s it I’m climbing to diamond this month I don’t care
Promos are meant to be the final test the “are you worthy” you could say. Removing it feels disingenuous I hate the idea

and like even the iron players will get elo inflated to diamond or something with these new changes

Overall, promos being gone is better because promos shouldn't be harder than the regular climb
But realistically, it does make it more of an accomplishment having climbed with the promo system
than without it

It's always been above 50th percentile, though it was closer to top 25% in the past, now G4+ is like top 35% or so.
