i can deal with all the meta mid laners but not some offmeta mids: nasus (if he is good), irelia, renekton and a little asol (if he gets a lucky 30+ minutes game). the meta mid laner i suffer the most vs is anivia but not too much

Gotta second Darius for top lane, the sad thing is, most people aren't fully abusing him. If you run Hail of Blades on him, you win early game v. every melee matchup and it plays well v. ranged too. He gets a straight up broken amount of free bonus AD from his 5-stack (or ult kill) passive, but that's theoretically gated behind how long it takes to stack someone to 5, but running HoB cuts that time down dramatically, so you just stat-check win every fight against other melees early (which means they have to avoid you and you can just deny the ever loving shit out of them all lane long and win lane by massive CS lead alone).

ive been playing a bit of aatrox lately after the drx skin came out (i love my prestige drip), and i have to disagree, its honestly not even that bad before level 3, at level 3 it feels like a skill diff, and level 4 i feel like i just start tossing darius around like a ragdoll
