#is there such a thing as an unwinnable game

Yes, every rank there are unwinnable games, you psychically (and maybe mentally lol) cannot win some games.
Only exception is Pro play
Disagree, unwinnable isn't a thing. People suck big time at macro and frustrations can just cost a player the game.
Yeah you can totally win with someone 4 people afking in your team
Its not common that it would happen, but that scenario is one of many other scenarios that can happen. And there is no way you can win that alone
Cringe players when they say "1v9" while literally getting help from your team
If you get your entire team fed by 10 mins because you're better than the enemies, then the game will not have a chance to be unwinnable.
I mean sure, but anything can happen. Maybe 2 players are having a lan party and their internet dies or one person gets a mental boom from a teammate stealing their CS/kill. Too much consideration to say a game will not have a chance to be unwinnable
Thats why I say Pro play is the only exception to games never being unwinnable.
Games wont be decided because of a player's mental or AFKing
obviously ppl in low elo become compelled to walk into a stupid fight and give 1k gold to some fortunate guy, but even then some games just feel lost from the beginning
If u know league, u already know, any decision u and the enemy team makes can be the best and worst decision of all, a lot of inconsistencies, not every decision u make is guaranteed, some things may look unwinnable but most of the time we dont actually...KNOW that.
yes, but its really the mindset that fucks with players
i just had a match where every lane lost, we were 26 to 47 and still won because we got elder and baron with an open nexus
one ff that was 1/4 when everyone was behind, and then we just kept on going until we won
some matches that are still winnable or arent completely lost can end up being a loss because of boredom
Absolutely, some games just aren't winnable. However, it's a shit excuse to just give up or open/sprinting it

nvm i just won a seemingly unwinnable game after fed kata made 3 emotional plays and lost all mejussy stacks

It isn't important that if the game is winnable or not
It's important if its enjoyable or not
OK u might actually win but if you are either farming or just dying in fights you aren't having fun
I never play ranked
innocence
U know I play to have fun not to suffer

Yes; it’s called adc ego.
yes.
Every game is winnable, it's just a matter of probabilities
If you want to have some fun you could probably put assign a utility score to a point of LP and compare it to the expected utility of playing the game out
Then you compare (LP loss for certain + not having to play it out) with (some expected LP loss (which isn't as bad) + having to play it out)
yes so true i just playued a game we were down 3vs27 and we won later 🤣
I've literally won a game where my team was down 15k gold at one point
Like, five completed items worth of gold
ic ic
Every time a thread has "game unwinnable" every single ego kid has to come out and say "well I carried a nearly impossible game before, so, invalid" as if your experience is the absolute same as others, which ironically means you believe you're the same yet you act entitled
its confirmation bias

I mean, even Riot kinda confirms it; if your team is trailing, you’re likely to lose anyways; the chances of a comeback are extremely low by Riot’s own data. This is why they’re making FF require 4 votes.
