i think gold is elo hell. i climbed out of it pretty easily after significant improvements, but when i was in gold and my friends were in gold, it was so bad. people actually sit at plat promos and gatekeep you from plat, people throughout all gold have crazy egos and their gameplay doesn't match it at all, one thing goes wrong they ff and whine etc. gold just feels so low quality and shit, still does. i have an alt acc in gold so i can play with my friends if they wanna duoq, and i noticed how low quality it feels, and my main is at p2 which is not even that far past gold.

Ive gotten better in these years, so much to the point that I cant recall the last time ive lost my lane (as a toplaner). Ive even went on my friends account and won against platinum players. The only champion I can think of that suffers from Elo hell is nunu, because all he does is gank and nothing but gank, but low Elo teammates won't setup anything and perma push everywave, you can see it in his winrate, in gold+ his wr is Nerf worthy but playing him in bronze is just tourturing yourself to do an LP giveaway, idk about other champs, but if you aren't a nunu otp thats allergic to other champions then you should climb if you are better.

Elo Hell, if it exists, is either d4 d3 or low master.

It has nothing to do with skills, its just that these are the elos where people are the most tilted and will ff a lot of games.

I've been playing on all elos, i'm playing league since s3, was silver hardstuck back in s4, then gold, then plat, etc... and I never found things that I saw on d4 games and in low master.
My explanation about this is mostly that people at these rank start thinking they know smth about the game, they build a huge ego so they can accept to loose (meaning they say its not their fault everytime), and they will ff most games if they dont have a lead at 15 because they think they are the only one who can carry (ego again).
