After clearing deadly ashtar catacombs all that's left is to buy the 7 gems in the shop which gives you the seed of darkness

Follow-up questin, and I realize that I'm probably missing something obvious, but how do I unlock the ability to do the gems? do I need to get the city key?

5 fire res 5 ice res, that is all you need to kill those 7 bosses
