It builds up so incredibly slowly, but it goes away so fast with almost nothing to show for it. I went offline for a while, filled it up all the way to 120, and then I did a Glory, thinking all that Energy would help me speed up the start of the run, but killing each enemy in the starting zone took like 20 Energy away. It almost feels feels insulting to spend 40 hours building it up and then lose it all to a few trash enemies in minutes not even reaching level 4.

It's worth it, yeah. But it only works at lower levels and you lose energy relative to the exp you gain. So in the early game with few ascensions it is very beneficial, but after you are leveling up 20+ times with the first kill, you'll have no benefit from energy all your exp is from glory.

Yeah, I follow. It works as stated before. Relative to the exp gained at level. Doesn't really matter in the end tho as it is going to.be reworked in the next update.

I feel like it shouldn't reset after an ascension though. You spend ages offline during the long grind then can't use it by the time you ascend and it all goes to waste xD

Yeah, sadly the last update was not the all promised content drop we have so gloriously been awaiting. 😕
But it is important to note that while it is useless late game, when you are running dungeons for exp it is rather useful.
