Heyhey, thanks for the feedback! I'm going to look into this later today, at first glance it seems like an error with our relatively recent culling system. Could you let me know your resolution / framerate and if there's anything out of the ordinary with your monitor setup? Also, if you could record a video, just a simple panning around, zooming in and out, see if rotating the camera does anything. Thanks in advance ! I will let you know if I get anywhere with this.
Will do, I'll ping you here. Need to handle this Monday, life is crazy busy & I don't have the capacity to authentically give this ticket the info it needs rn.
TLDR: is, yes this is probably a resolution thing. I will elaborate when things stabilize
So, everything related to video:
Monitor: Asus VG289
Resolution & Framerate: 3840 x 2160, 60 Hz
Graphics card: Zotac Gaming NVIDIA GeForce 3070 Ti
Game settings:
Fullscreen mode: Borderless Fullscreen
Render Scale: 50% (this may be part of the problem, however, you try running this game in 4k with a 3070 on 100% render scale and not turning your card to slag. GPU cores hit like 80 c when I do that.)
FPS limited to 60 fps
V-sync: enabled.
As for uploading a video, I might be able to do that. I also don't believe I have a direct mechanism to view what my current framerate is? I don't know if some nvidia overlay has that inbuilt or something but I tend to think overlays are intrusive and avoid them like the plague.
Ah this is already really helpful, thank you so much! I'll sit with our Technical artist this week and we will go over some of the possible reasons. One final question for now, have you had this happen multiple times since? Or just that once.
