FNC icon hasn't changed at all on android

The app icon for FNC on android hasn't changed at all. After several updates, it's still the same. I like the new icon more but I can't change it.

For comparison:
Left is old icon that's currently installed on my phone (which has auto update enabled)
Right is current icon as seen in play store

Specs:
Android 14
OnePlus 9 R

I think the developer can change the app icon in Google Play Store after they've published it but it won't affect the app itself (I'm sorry if my wording was really bad)

Then explain how apps like JJ were able to change their icons when there's an event?

They can change the icons whenever they want even after publishing

I forgot to mention this: you can change its icon by using a launcher like Lawnchair or Nova

Can't since android 14 doesn't allow very old apps with very old sdk versions. Also using a launcher would require to have the icon which can't be downloaded from anywhere.
