I want to propose a new interface option
Sure the UI in the alpha wasn't perfect but this looks like some trashy mobile game UI.
It's too cluttered and big which would result in the game being barely playable on the major platforms globally which are PC and console,
sure as far as I know the game will release for mobile too but after playing it and judging by what someone showed me in the game files,
mobile is not the main platform they focus on.
"but this looks like some trashy mobile game UI" - Can you clarify what you're talking about, I don't understand
"It's too cluttered and big which would result in the game being barely playable on the major platforms globally which are PC and console" - I don't understand, can you give me specifics?
Are you talking about the visual part?
Or do you think something specific looks wrong? Can you explain?
I'm not going to argue with anyone, I'm just interested in an outside opinion
Big UI elements make sense on mobile but don't look good, are too big or look out of place most of the time which I think is the case here.
The UI takes up too much space on the screen to properly play the game on a high skill level on PC and console, it's simply too big. A rather small UI is important in games like this as you need to see especially the edges for screen, the UI concept you uploaded here takes up half of the screen on the left and right which would make it impossible to properly see someone coming from that direction
Out of everything it looks the best, but I'd say it's still a downgrade, especially the way you select a character on the left as all people select their characters at the same time and not one at a time.
Additionally it would increase the time you need to select a character which potentially results in you getting a random character due to the time running out, this would become an issue with a large number of characters that force you to scroll
After watching my recordings of the game again, I would still say that nothing about the user interface needs to be changed, with the exception of the accessibility cues for hearing impaired people as the current UI doesn't look bad and works.
I don't understand why you think this interface takes up a lot of screen space, but thanks for the comment
Yes, the original interface is smaller, but its readability is much worse because of this
If we talk about the number of the interface, and not the size, then it is no longer possible to make it smaller, only the necessary information remains (as, in principle, it should be)
I believe that all such systems will eventually come to the point where they will have a vertical list of characters, as it is more convenient (I don't understand why everyone repeats one after another and tries to cram all the characters into the bottom of the screen)
I don't understand what problem you are talking about, everything is on an equal footing and there is filtering, what are you talking about?
