Power-up:

  1. Shadow Step Smoke Bomb

Effect: Dashes you forward a short distance to avoid danger or reposition.

Upgrade: Can be used twice in a row before cooldown, but each use has a small stamina cost.

Use: Great for dodging attacks, escaping traps, or getting ahead in tricky situations.

Disruptive Items:

  1. Spider Web Ball

Effect: Throws a ball that bursts into webs, trapping a player for a short time (or two players when upgraded).

Upgrade: Webs last slightly longer but don’t cause complete immobility—players can still move at a reduced speed.

Use: Perfect for trapping or slowing down opponents when you need to get ahead.

  1. Black Hole Ball

Effect: Creates a teleportation trap that pulls players into a random disadvantageous spot.

Upgrade: The thrower can control the teleport location slightly, but it’s not 100% accurate.

Use: Great for throwing off opponents or messing with their progress near the finish line.

  1. Boomerang Slap Hand

Effect: A slap hand flies out and knocks a player backward. If it misses, it comes back and hits the player who threw it instead.

Upgrade: Slightly more damage or a stun effect for players hit directly.

Use: Knocks opponents off course but watch out, it can backfire if you miss!

  1. Ink Bomb (Squid Surprise)

Effect: Explodes and blinds nearby players with ink for a short period.

Upgrade: Duration is extended, but it doesn’t make players slip around uncontrollably—just limits their vision.

Use: Great for messing with opponents’ vision or making them slip during precise moments.

  1. Candy Jar (Reverse Controls)

Effect: Players who consume candy from the jar will have their controls reversed for a short period.

Upgrade: Extends the effect but adds a visual cue (such as screen distortion) so players know they’re affected.

Use: Can totally confuse opponents, throwing off their control during crucial moments of the game.

  1. Glue Shoes

Effect: Temporarily disables an opponent’s jump and slightly slows them down.

Upgrade: Duration can be extended but only affects one player at a time.

Use: Messes with players in platforming sections or when they’re trying to escape.

I think the problem is upgrades in the game don’t work like this. They don’t buff abilities but only increase the chance of ability.
