Hello friend! "Network Error: Unable to connect to server" means the game can't contact the login server. Either you have internet issues or something is blocking the connection. Some routers have optional unnecessary features that include a DNS filter to block sites that they don't like. These rules are often written by AI and often wrong.

I was in contact with the Eero router support team and they admitted they were incorrectly blocking the webhost that fragpunk is using and sent a fix request to their 3rd party DNSFilter provider, and advised me in the meantime to disable their optional feature they incorrectly call "Advanced Security". You're still perfectly safe without this feature, which is a fact they even have a dedicated page on their website stating. It looks like Eero routers finally don't get the Network Error anymore, but that's because I reported the issue to Eero and made sure they fixed it.

If your router is causing this issue, please report it to your router manufacturer so they can fix it.
(it is not an issue the game devs can fix).

(And please let us know which router brand and model you're having this issue with, otherwise we can't provide much help.)

In the meantime there are a few workarounds you can try. The main solution for now is to disable optional features on your router named something like advanced security or adblocking. You'll still be safe without them. These are not core features of routers and you will still have many standard layers of security on the router. I made a youtube video explaining it more if you want more info.

When you report the issue to your router manufacturer, you can optionally tell them to make sure ALIYUNCSSLBINTL dot com is not blocked (the login URL is a subdomain of that).
Whitelisting that domain (if your router has that option) should also get the game working for now while you wait for the real fix from your router manufacturer.

Oh it may also be your DNS server that's causing the issue. Sometimes changing that to a standard one like 1.1.1.1 (cloudflare) or 8.8.8.8 (google) could solve various problems, but that's a bit more technical.
That option did not work on Eero routers cuz they were essentially DNS hijacking and intercepting all your DNS requests and redirecting them to go through their own bugged DNS. So I'm not sure if it will help in your case, but I think it's helped some users.

They are bots, easiest thing to recognize is their very similar stats, they’ll usually be above 200 hours, between a KD of 1-2, 150+ MVPs, and a very low average damage for all that. normal players usually have 750-1750 average damage while bots will sit under like 200

Never seen that on this game but have had kind of similar experiences on a dying hard drive. Maybe check your hardware. (Bad RAM might do weird things as well.)
You could start with chkdsk in Windows then try CrystalDiskInfo. (Also make sure you don't have a third party antivirus that's messing with the files.)

You get 1 refund per battle pass (if you have bought the battle pass before buying the membership)

That would make
1x 900 if you bought this seasons battle pass before buying a membership
and
1x 900 if you bought last seasons battle pass before buying a membership.

If you bought the battle pass from last season, for example, and then bought a membership at the end, you’d get a refund for that seasons battle pass (900) and get the battle pass for free this season (no refund)

You can get 900 ONCE, if you bought the battle pass of the current season before you ever bought a membership during it

I can't remember seeing a preview post for battle passes so far. But you could try checking their socials like twitter maybe.
Btw if you wanna get the premium battle pass i'd recommend getting a 1 month membership cuz its like the same price with more benefits plus some FP coins for logging in. It includes a free premium BP unlock (you still have to click to upgrade the battle pass though, it doesn't happen automatically)

Hello, a little info, I mainly play on PS5 but these last 2 months I was in another city and I didn't have the PS5 with me so I played fragpunk on PC, I am now back home but I cant get used to the controller controls so I'm thinking of buying a mouse and keyboard but a friend of mine that also plays on PS5 tells me that in some games I could get banned, would it happen to me in fragpunk if I play with mouse and keyboard on the PS5?

well considering you are trying to play XIM/ Mouse Trapping ; yes and no? Fragpunk fairly just got released but despite this game other games may cause input delay to make sure it is balanced gameplay for console players so xim players would get lag and frame drop or like i said delay in games to make it fair if you are a XIM player. I’d say not worth the risk to play xim/mouse and keyboard on your ps5 as it can lead to some problems not only in fragpunk but any other game you are trying to play! don’t risk getting banned on FP lol the game literally is still new

I saw someone else in this chat a few days ago with this issue. You guys should probably send an in-game bug report and note the match in which it happened so they can look into it (assuming its a game issue and not a PC issue).
I had a game freeze a couple minutes into a match a couple days ago but closed all open programs and background processes (like stuff in the system tray) and loaded the game back up and didn't have any issues after that. So not sure if it was because of other things running / low ram, or if it was just a random game issue.

You can only benefit from the actual gamepass bonuses though when playing on a platform that is directly related to Xbox, even if you link the account to your Steam account. On pc that would be the Xbox pc app

If you would like to refund your purchase, you can also do that of course. Hi, are you saying you're still getting this error after reinstalling the game?
If so:

1. Was the game working previously, on this pc and from epic games? Or was this happening since the first time you tried?
2. Try running the game as admin (right click on the game shortcut on your desktop or the .exe where it's installed and click Run as Administrator).
3. Make sure you don't have any third party antivirus blocking it.
4. You could try installing from Steam and see if you get the same error.

No problem. Hmm you may have some sort of hardware issue if your game files get corrupted occasionally. Maybe a storage drive starting to fail. You could try installing on a different drive if you have another SSD.
You could also run chkdsk (built in Windows tool) and get CrystalDiskInfo (free) to see if they show any issues on your drive. A drive that's starting to fail may not always report issues, but it often does.

The game is not on Linux my friend. There's nothing we can do. Nothing you can do either. Unless GE or someone else comes with a solution. Linux is Linux, these things happen sadly.

How did you tried to make it run proton, wine or lutris? And also on which Linux distro because just "Linux" is not precise...
If you have the answers of those questions go in your logs of the compatibility helper (proton, wine, lutris) and try to find help in this community and be precise on which distro you're using. As the game is not supported on linux it's the only way to find a solution

It's often the case on Linux when trying to run unsupported games, a little update from the game or the "emulator" creates issues 😅 In fact it's sometimes easier to run a game in a virtual machine or a dual boot (better option for performance) than dealing with compatibility issues on Linux... It also can be a difference in graphics drivers in Linux world (especially for nvidia) or just a computer which do not have enough power to run the game or the game + a form of emulation...
As you said it is experimental and includes a risk of not running, I haven't faced any issue even with long sessions playing on W11 even if I have another computer (main one) plus a server on Linux but I keep my W11 for some games or applications not supported on Linux.

Little steps are done to a global move to Linux but too little to really change everything, Gabe N (Valve) said the future of gaming is on Linux but let's be honest it's not yet there and I've heard this for the past 15 years xD I'm in both worlds and found advantages in both OS family even MacOS has its good sides, the choice of the OS depends on what you want to achieve with your computer and if you can't choose between Windows and Linux why not having a SSD on windows, another one on Linux and choose at startup where you go and separate your different activities on different physical spaces, it can be a real help to focus more sometimes 😉

Relax bud. It all boils down to changes they made on the anti-cheat communication with the servers. Since FP can't have kernel-level access to my PC it gets upset and shuts down. Since the program was working well before an update, and now it doesn't, and it's due to deliberate changes made to client/server comms....the devs did go out of their way to break it. No "bug fix" would have broken this.

and trust me...I use linux as my only OS. I'm well aware of my risks/rewards.

Are you familiar with the overwatch system of counter-strike my friend? Think of it like that. You basically are asked to review the gameplay footage of a random person (you need to meet certain criteria to have been assigned such a task ofc. Yes, "Network Error: Unable to connect to server" means the game can't contact the login server. Either you have internet issues or something is blocking the connection.

First, try restarting your modem, router, and gaming system.

If you still have the error, it may be a bugged setting on your router. Some routers have optional unnecessary features that include a DNS filter to block sites that they don't like. These rules are often written by AI and often wrong.

We saw this a lot on Eero routers so I got in contact with Eero support and they admitted they were incorrectly blocking the webhost that fragpunk is using and advised me in the meantime to disable their optional feature they incorrectly call "Advanced Security". You're still perfectly safe without this feature, which is a fact they even have a dedicated page on their website stating. It looks like Eero routers finally don't get the Network Error anymore, but that's because I reported the issue to Eero and made sure they fixed it.

If your router is causing this issue, please report it to your router manufacturer so they can fix it.
(it is not an issue the game devs can fix).

In the meantime there are a few workarounds you can try. One option is to add the fragpunk login url ALIYUNCSSLBINTL dot com to a whitelist in your router (replace "dot" with a period).

Another potential solution for now (until your router manufacturer can fix their issue) is to just disable optional features on your router named something like "advanced" security or adblocking (I'm not sure what your specific router calls it). You'll still be safe without them. These are not core features of routers and you will still have many standard layers of security on the router. I made a youtube video explaining it more if you want more info.

Steam overlay is working fine for me, so I wonder what's causing your issue...

It has to be enabled in two places, in the general steam application settings as well as the settings for the specific game. If you uninstalled/reinstalled then it's probably already enabled by default but can you check both places:

To enable the Steam overlay, open the Steam client, go to "Steam" > "Settings" > "In-Game," and check the box for "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game." Additionally, ensure that the overlay is enabled for each specific game by right-clicking the game in your Library, selecting "Properties," and checking the overlay option under the General tab.

If it is enabled but still not working, try running Steam as an administrator. If you still have issues, try checking for conflicting applications. For example any other apps that generate overlays could be interfering, including possibly your graphics drivers. I haven't seen this issue before with this game specifically, it's more of a general steam issue so if none of those suggestions fix it you'll probably have to do some web searches for steam troubleshooting.

It varies with multiple factors such as the day, time of day, rank, server, party size, and how many people are instead queuing for the other modes to get rewards (gear up and outbreak are both pulling people away from ranked recently because of the events. I feel like they need to stop splitting the playerbase as much and focus on one thing at a time).

In my experience plat usually doesn't have long queue times, but i usually play at night. You could try other servers and see if any are faster. I've heard EU people say they don't have problems finding games. Some people in NA also queue for Japan at some times (i can't remember what other servers there are cuz I've just been on auto).

You could also try partying up with people. I haven't seen a real comparison yet of queue times with different party sizes but in some cases it may help.

0/12 means you get 12 login bonuses of that type per month and you have 0 left for the current month.
If you have the yearly then now that it's a new month, it would be back to 12/12 available and logging in would give you one (as it did for me when i just logged in) and put you at 11/12 if that makes sense.

This means the game can't contact the login server. This is typically caused by internet issues or extra security on your router like parental controls.

Try rebooting your modem, router, and pc or console and trying again. If it's still not working, you can check for optional features in your router that may be blocking it and turn them off or add an exception for ALIYUNCSSLBINTL dot com (replace "dot" with period since URLs aren't allowed in here).

If I may ask, what brand and model router do you have? That can help us track down issues and solutions. (Edit: Sorry I just saw your message was from quite a while ago, I have no idea why my discord scrolled back that far.)
