FragPunk keeps randomly crashing

EDIT: Tried uninstalling, restarting pc, reinstalled. Game crashed again after x minutes.

Hi,

I am facing the issue that FragPunk keeps randomly crashing every x minutes. It doesn't matter if I am at the menus, running the benchmark or being in-game. It crashes after x minutes and shows the "FragPunk Has Crashed" window.

What did I try to resolve this issue and didn't work?

• Nvidia GPU drivers are up to date
• Changed all graphic settings to Low or Very Low
• Changed all graphics settings to High or Ultra
• Changed graphics API to DirectX 11 instead of DirectX 12
• Disabled all overlays (Discord overlay, Nvidia overlay, ...)
• Changed to fullscreen mode
• Changed to borderless windowed mode

Nothing seems to resolve this issue.
I've also checked the logs in the FragPunk\Binaries\Win64\logs folder but I can't seem to find anything related to the crash.
I've also checked the Windows Event Logs but can't find anything related to the crash under 'System' or 'Application'.

After installing 16gb instead of 8gb, game still says i need above 8gb of ram for the use of directx

i have updated all my drivers and it doesnt get fixed. i remember at the first launch of the game it did some kind of system scan, would it be possible to restart without reinstalling?

It’s basically the lower the number, the higher the rank. For example, Gold 1 is a higher rank than Gold 3. After Gold 1, you promote to Plat 5 until you hit the top of Plat. It’s your standard ELO system.

It’s a similar skill level. That’s where the game put you. The ranked system will only match you up with players at or similar to the level you are at presently.

Steam:
Right-click Fragpunk → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files.

Epic Games Launcher:
Library → Click Installed → Click three dots (...) next to Fragpunk → Manage → Verify.

Option2:
If the above does not work, try this option (BUT BACK-UP THE FILE FIRST).
Delete this file (after back-up) C:\Users[Your Username]\AppData\Local\FragPunk\Steam\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini

Then try to launch the game, if it does not work, do option 1 again and if that does not work, put the backed-up file back in the folder.

Step 2: Click on security and privacy
Step 3: Click on network controls
Step 4: Disable adblocking & advanced security
Step 5: You should be able to log in, have fun guys!

Check if your router software has a filter. If it does either disable it or add your computer to the filter exclusion list.

Take a look at your task manager's details on background tasks. There's three services that should be in the "Running" status and not "Stopped" or "Suspended" when you launch the game.

I found a fix for the MS flapping error. Hopefully we can make this a searchable forum post because I didn't see an accurate fix there!

If you are experiencing constant flapping MS spikes which force you to disconnect or abandon a match the fix is very simple.

Go to task manager, go to details and right click Fragpunk, set the priority to (realtime) or (high). I didn't see a fix until I tried to set it to realtime process priority. After I did that there was no disconnecting or stutters!

You will need to do this EVERY TIME you boot the game but as a temporary bandaid it's not an issue.

This may work for you

If you are experiencing constant flapping MS spikes which force you to disconnect or abandon a match the fix is very simple.

Go to task manager, go to details and right click Fragpunk, set the priority to (realtime) or (high). I didn't see a fix until I tried to set it to realtime process priority. After I did that there was no disconnecting or stutters!

You will need to do this EVERY TIME you boot the game but as a temporary bandaid it's not an issue.

Hey there, please could you try the following:

• Open Steam on your computer.
• Click on Steam in the top-left corner.
• From the dropdown menu, select Settings.
• In the settings window, choose In-Game from the left menu.

To turn off Steam Overlay:
Untick the box that says “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game”.
Click OK. And then turn it on again and try to buy the coins

For those with the audio issue

Possible Audio fixes
1 - Disable Exclusive Mode:

• Right-click the speaker icon and select "Sounds."
• Go to the "Playback" tab, choose your audio device, and click "Properties."
• Under the "Advanced" tab, uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."
• Click "Apply" and "OK".

2 - Run the Game as Administrator:

• Right-click the game's shortcut or executable file.
• Click on Properties and then navigate to compatibility
• Select "Run as administrator" and "Disable full Screen Optimization".
• Hit "Apply"

Second fix

• Go to your Device manager
• click monitors and enable your Monitor or disable and re-enable.
• Restart your game if you are in a Competitive game all good you can reconnect after! 🙂

• Go to your steam client
• Then go to properties selecting fragpunk on the steam client
• And click on installed files, verify the files and restart steam and the game

Fourth fix

• Go to the Program Files folder on your hard disk, then search the Steam folder right after searching Steam Games Folder and get through steamapps > common > FragPunk.
• Finally run the game as an administrator

• Disable the Discord Overlay and also make sure the hardware acceleration is also disabled on discord.
• To get there go to Settings > Game Overlay > and disable the overlay

Oh, I don't know. It's an RNG system, so people may get it on their very first pull, or you may not get it after 200 pulls. It's just basically playing the odds.

hi, where do I go for ban appeals? today I got kicked out of a match stating “your account is banned” across the screen. I’ve spent $260 on this game just to get the knife out of the prize pool. I wouldn’t even know where to begin to cheat on a game. Now recently I had trouble even starting the game with a “hooking error” I had to disable all my startup apps just to get the game to open. So the anti cheat blocks a lot of official non cheating things that could be the reason. But this is bs.

Hmm...I have the same GPU, the 7600XT, and haven't ran into that issue. If it was undervolted, the card wouldn't even work, let alone display those pixels. My guess is it's part of the shader cache, but I don't have access to game log files to determine where the error occurs. You can also try to pass that info in #game-support and contact the devs. Maybe they have more info?

Yeah, Movistar is having issues right now. More than likely, it's an outage. You can still use some apps, but you may have problems like packet loss and connection issues. I didn't see a timetable for a fix, though, but hopefully the ISP will be back to functioning normally soon!
