from what I can tell, it looks like they'll be limited time coins, you'll do stuff for the event and will be rewarded with 1500 limited time coins (1000 looks like you have to pay so they're not actually free), which will likely last until the end of the battlepass and may require you to spend 1 real fragpunk coin to activate if it works anything like the last event
