Thank you friend
from a gear standpoint, i am not sure i would use wasteland over pe
rotational
you should start with strike or storm, flag-finish-cooldowns
you can use cache after flag/tornado to not waste too much of it
but cache use will depend on the weapon rotation
you should use dance chrges, there is no reason to not follow up with a 2nd one
i didn't look into the target count/mobs but if you chain pulled you probably wouldn't delay symbols for 10 secs
flag use seems weird, you should align it with symbols/tornado
the base concept is to line up dance to symbols
also to never start dance with high on low target counts
also to not refresh rupture in dance
basically you could just use rupture, then symbols-dance here and would be better off
rupture in dance again, it is rly something you should avoid
you did send this dance into nothing, try to not spend dance if the last mob is super low
the entire concept of cooldown alignment is also not used here
this is something people should know by now
you don't use flag in shadow dance
single target use is fairly simple
you should use a macro for dance + strike, to avoid this
same again with symbols, it was uses fairly inefficient
same here
or here
or here
basically you rly need to learn how to play the spec on single target
there are too many mistakes that are easy to avoid
but also in aoe, you need to manage your cooldowns
so basically:
- learn how the single target rotation works
-- very short baseline:
-- #1 you align your cooldowns to symbols of death
-- #2 you always use at least one dance charge during symbols, else use dance charges during flag or if about to cap
-- #3 flagallation!!! line it up with symbols so that you get flag-finish-cooldowns(tornado, symbols, etc)
-- #4 shuriken tornado is also used in single target
-- #5 slice and dice is something you keep up on lower target counts, also rupture (only on up to 3 targets) esp. on a target you want to kill faster in a pull
- work on your cooldown managemen!
-- Shadow Dance is a cooldown you can agressively use in aoe, but needs to be managed propper in single target
--- Using shadow dance when adds are about to die, you need to run away from the mob or similar that would case bigger downtime is not good and should be avoided
--- Using Backstab as first gcd of dance should not be the case, and i would recommend a macro
-- flagallation, it is essential that you generate high stack counts, this is done by aligning other cooldowns to it and using it when you have high combo points. the usual sequence should be flag-finish-tornado-cooldowns(symbols, dance,...)
mistakes like this are super common in your log, and this shouldn't happen at all
also the complete loss of most of your dance
for uptime, pls use your movement cooldowns, try to use sprint/step/vanish-strike to stay on targets
you can also use cloak to avoid certian mechanics or similar, but its important to know what works and what does not for that
but it is very important to understand that losing 4-6 seconds of your shadow dance is not good and will lead to less shadow dance charges and less output
it is very punishing because you not only lose some combo points
You lose out on casts of shadow strike and Finishing moves.
This means you have a lower amount of 2p and 4p procs on top of the lost cdr
alright, i think that was fairly in detail already, if you have further questions, pls just ask
Sorry - i dont understand what this means?
soulbinds, you did use this one.
I think Planed execution is potentially better
Found it
Took me a while to investigate haha
Thanks
Youve gone in really deep on this, i appreciate it
I find myself energy starved a lot toward the end of pulls, which is why dance/symbols sometimes get cast into nothing, just so i can keep going and not just be auto attacking
if you pull into a new pack soon, it is better to not fire symbols
it is in the end a damage amp too and guarantees your next builder to critical strike
what means if you storm on your next pack, every target you hit with storm will get find weakness applied
(because storm applies find weakness on a critical strike, and it will 100% critical strike due to symbols)
"--- Using Backstab as first gcd of dance should not be the case, and i would recommend a macro"
Can you explain this pls
there is a delay when switching stance
basically if you use shadow dance or stealth or similar the game will still think you are outside of stealth
so if you use shadow strike and backstab on the same keybind, it will still send backstab instead of shadow strike
it is only a small delay, so if you press your keys not very fast, you don't run into that issue
there are many solutions to the problem, the easiest is to just macro strike to shadow dance
ofc you still would need a 2nd dance macro to use it without strike
or you could use something like:
/cast [bonusbar:1]Shadowstrike; Shadow dance
this would mean you don't have to use 2 key binds, but press the key 2 times to send strike
a 3rd option is to just have both on seperate binds
