fro conduits, i am not sure if stiletto is better than pv, might be worth simming
you don't have a back enchant, it might not be a dps gain but probably not bad practice to still use
but your back is 236
if you did the storyline in zm, you can easy get a 252 back with good stats
okay, lets look at gameplay
might have missed it, finished it yesterday
what i mean with easy get it is you get it from rare/treasure/etc
ho ok haha
so items below 252 are usually a result of not having enough time to do that or being to lazy
your rupture uptime is fairly low, it should be 98% or higher
86 means you let it drop for quite a long time
for slice and dice you have a very long gap without slice and dice in there, that shouldn't happen
(i look at skolex)
its just something that is easy to see from the buff/damage graphs
rupture uptime can be a bit lower without problems
having low snd uptime is usually rly bad
as it funnels your energy and cp gain
so your energy economy and feedback loop with shadow dance cdr from finishers is worse if you don't keep it up
towards your play, you don't rly need to backstab before using slice there
and storm seems rly weird as the boss is pure st
so just strike-snd-dance
you didn't use 8 abilities within your first dance
and after the first dance you just started to do this
what is rly bad
because if you have flag active you want to build stacks
and when you backstab, you build stacks very slow
so you want to use dance
and backstab only rly when you need to consume pv stacks
but you are not playing PV, so thats irrelevant
the following dance is also not played very well
you again use storm
only hit 7 abilities during dance
as well as start the dance with a finisher
i think its because of our blue swirly placement, but i get what you are saying
ok so finisher to start dance
hoooo
and we jump into the 2nd mistake
this is rly a common mistake
and its one because people don't learn the basics at all
the basics of the spec are damage amp stacking
what means symbols is used on cooldown as much as possible
and shadow dance is aligned to it
spare uses can be used as wanted or needed to not overcap
people usually try to be more conservative before they get flag back
so that they can double dance after it
in the case above
you did use dance before that
and did not consder the symbols alignement at al
thus sitting there backstabbing
and waiting for dance to come off cooldown
again its a common mistake, but should be rly easy to avoid if you understand this basic concept
all right
i know i was everywhere in my rotation and tried my best to align CDs, but failed haha
and we jump to the next symbols cycle, that one was after the worm dived down
again storm ...
your raid team seems to (not unusual) play it fairly inefficient given the long downtime, but thats normal.
I try to convince my raid leader to not do that too but failed so far
there are several mistakes
first of all and this is probably before he dives down you could have used snd after he dived down
Or probably even build cp with shuriken throw and apply a low-ish cp snd here
after that you kind of missunderstood how to play flag
it is in the faq and also in the guides
to flag-finish-cooldowns
the reason is simple, you want to use shadow dance efficient, and by losing globals in it to flag-finish you don't do that
also by aligning dance after the finisher you have 8 seconds with shadow strikes/finishers
that builds a lot more stacks for flag
as you probably also see here
flag is 12 secs
and you did spend 3 of it doing shadow dance
instead of 8
big dps loss
so less combo points, means less stacks, means less cdr .....
flagallation is a very punishing cooldown
so as you probably realize its essential to play well around it
i can see that
the next dance/symbols also are a repeat issue of what i stated above
thats why i really want to improve, the spec is fun and i love the subtility of the rotation and CDs
you probably know it now, that this dance would need to be aligned to symbols
another mistake is here
this is a easy avoidable, but somehting that happens to everyone sometimes esp. when learning a encounter
you basically dud use your dance and likely your rl called to run off to stack
if you get more comfortable with timings on the fights, you will not make this mistakes
but just to emphasize it, losing an entire dance is a big damage loss
and as with flag and other things, doing inefficient things can fuck you even more
in this case you had no dance charge after the dive for your flag
this dance seems fine on first look
but it is only 7 globals
also
if you have slice and dice up
you should never have 3 strike casts
as your sht will give you a combo point
its likely that you did either just send another strike, or had no snd up
i think the latter
i did setup a few sounds warning for SnD last night after the raid until i feel more comfortable with all the concept of the spec
and the rest of the fight is just a lot of repeat issues, i don't think i need to re-iterate on.
e.g. here flag-finish-cooldowns
in general if you keep the principles up to always have 1 dance charge for symbols
(but don't be afraid to use dance outside of that, you should never cap on charges)
and play flagallation correct, you should see a noticable increase in performance
and doing the order correctly i should see a big improvement
keeping slice and dice up is also improtant, so keep that in mind. its also fine to refresh in dance
for your lost globals in dance, i assume thats just about getting used to the spec
if you continue to only see 7 gloabls in your logs, i would try to practice and see if other factors contribute
also one thing straight up, and this is not to disencourage you
i will be camping the dummy for the next few days for sure
you won't get super high parses
to get some sort of muscle memory
just simple because you don't have the tier set yet, nor do you have the sylvanas daggers
thats due to gear, and you will increase on that over time
thanks for the heads up hehe
i just want to say, don't expect purple/orange parses even if you improve in gameplay
they will get their over time, but its a journey and you will take one step at the time usually ๐
if i can get closer to my sims i will be very happy
i think hitting the sim dps is in general not that easy without a bit of luck
do you macro 2 cds together or i should pop them separetely
the closest fight that could get you there is halondrus
(even tho is a bit cheating)
i use my cooldowns separately
but i use some macros
if you type !macro in #subtlety
it will send you some macro suggestions
thanks a lot for all the suggestion and taking the times to explain everything
