Well firstly your gear is a bit rough, a bit too much haste and 8000 mastery is not ideal, and nothing is enchanted
that stuff does matter at least a bit
your opener
missed a global in the first stealth window, and then used vanish at low combo points
should use vanish > BtE when you have the right cps to use a finisher
ok so i should make sure i have at least 5 cp if i want to vanish into bte?
it's 5-6cp
and yea my gear isnt the best, i dont have bis weapons so i dont know if enchanting them is the best
like, this build uses finishers at 6cp normally but 5cp if subterfuge, opportunity, or audacity are active
So vanish > bte is the same rule
idk how much my gear is affecting my damage. i assume my vers is really low
Vers is good it's really the crit
what is the ideal crit range i should be at?
oh it should be same or lower? why is that?
sorry, that is not a specific threshold
It's just vers >= crit for outlaw
So you meet your haste requirement and then have vers crit gear and they end up about the same
ok i see, i was comparing to other logs and my abilities just flat out dont do as much damage as others even if i have the same or more casts of the ability
like not even close really. is that a gear issue or more of a cp usage issue?
or both
prob both
like my BtE has like 80% crit rating in a normal pull
which is partly gear but also partly playing well
because the Ruthless Precision buff from Roll the Bones influences BtE crit rate
and you get more roll the bones buffs, through the count the odds talent, by playing well
are you ever supposed to roll the bones to get a better stat?
like are there ones more valuable than others
We keep any 2 buff combo from roll the bones and use the Loaded Dice buff to roll 1 buff into 2 buffs
and that only happens with adrenaline rush
and be careful not to roll over extra buffs from count the odds if they are active
yeah
but adrenaline rush cooldown is influenced by playing well
so it's kinda all full circle
if my bones loses duration but my vanish and adrenaline are coming up soon do i hold it so i can get 2 buffs?
or should i always keep 100% uptime on roll the bones regardless if it aligns with my adrenaline rsh into vanish bte window
You shouldn't let rtb expire
and just reroll when needed
it is possible to hold vanish for an upcoming reroll, though it is not a hard written rule
cause vanish is needed to stop adrenaline rush from ticking down
so even if im not in my vanish window anymore with adrenaline rush its fine to just reroll when the roll the bones ability is back up
yes, you reroll as soon as possible if you need to with loaded dice
so essentially you shold never lapse in uptime on bones
ye
I'm seeing a lot of sinister strike casts while the pistol shot proc is already active
and it's more important to bte at 5+ cp in subterfuge is it ever worth to bte at like 1 or 2 if you can fit like one more in before subterfuge expires?
yea i think i use my sinister strike alot
No that's not worth you need 5cp to flip a coin
if i dont have any procs of pistol shot is sinister strike above in prio?
or is it fine to use a pistol shot over sinister
You only pistol shot with the proc
You only SS if you have nothing
for this build, pistol shot procs are used to proc ambush when ambush is not available
without better gear is it possible to purple or orange parse? or is my gear that bad that even if i fix my rotation it cant go up a super amount
so pistol shot procs always have higher priority than sinister strike
and ambush proc has prio over pistol shot proc?
yes
I mean at this point you are parsing against very geared people
and u should always finish if u have max cp right even if pistol shot proc is up?
yeah finishers always have a higher priority than builders
im thinking more for ilvl parsing
i mean maybe
ilvl parsing is kinda wack cause a lot of power level is loaded into like, main hand item level and trinkets
u could still be competing with people who have crafted or dropped a 636 mainhand
i see so is the only way to see progress on logs and damage via better gear?
from a green to like purple/orange parse perspective
Parsing is both about gear and rotation
probably not green to purple
but purple to orange can be just gear or luck
yes but if people are at this point quite geared , even if i fix my rotation am i still going to be weighted less like in the greens range cause my gear isnt up to snuff
Yeah so it's really more important that you are doing well within your raid group
i dont want to mislead you into thinking that gear is the only problem
but it is a piece of the puzzle
no yea i appreciate your insight im more curious like even if i fix my rotation it seems like the ceiling is still decently up there i just want to make sure im not losing my mind cause if i fix my rotation and my parses are still not up to snuff
it's tough to know if my rotation is bad or if my gear is kind of bottlenecking my damage from reaching higher parses
cause i think i do mechanics fine within my raid group but my parses are abysmal , so if i parse like a 31 on ulgrax and i fix my rotation im curious what the difference will be , will i be kind of walled in at like 50-60 range without better gear? im unsure
you can prob blue parse at like minimum without changing gear
i mean your raid group is prob not super geared either
and most of them are blue
ok which is at least going up like 200,000 dps
yea that log is a pug
i dont have like a guild i mainly pug
or join a friends run if they have open spots
oh ye prob everyone has whatever gear then
Your gear is aight just 8k mastery is a bit oof
and last question thank you for your time btw, in my opener i should adrenaline then slice and dice then roll bones correct?
replacing that neck and ring would already be a decent gain
yea i did alot of grinding into assa at first
this build can use RTB before AR
its not a big deal either way
then you start with 1 buff usually and can reroll it into pandemic 2 buffs asap
not sure how to fix the mastery stuff without major overhaul cause on my crafting i double dipped into stats
oh so it makes no difference really if i just start with rtb before ar and then slice and dice?
yea it's tough because i still play assa
i thought sin likes every stat basically
so if i completely gut my mastery that will affect my damage there
think it can get away without mastery crafted gear
U prob will just swap around ring and necks for sin/outlaw
that is what i currently do now
and recraft vers crit
recraft bracers and wasit into vers crit?
ye
ok i see
Remember that this build wants to sit between 8-10% haste
anything more than that it starts to drop off hard
u have 11% which is still fine
sometimes item level just wins
i see what should my crit be at then?
cause i thought having 18% is fine
or is it the fact that my verse isnt as high as my crit?
cause if i recraft my crit will still be higher than my verse
it says you have 4612 crit
and 10396 vers
u are looking at percentage and not rating i think
so if it needs to match my verse then my crit needs to be double the percentage basically
since the stats are weighted differently?
so i can realistically just swap certain pieces if it has alot of crit even if i lose out on verse?
if i have nothing else to swap
what would u say is a good amoun of verse to not drop below
Only haste has a magic number
because we need haste to lower our global cooldown during adrenaline rush
other than that is just get vers crit
i see , cause my crit is insanely low by comparison to something it should be either slightly or equal to
You use raidbots top gear to make gear swapping decisions
idk myself
if your crit is low then it will likely want more
compared to vers
ok i see
