wait that's the wrong one
neltharus 4? also which rogue are you?
sorry

okay so some things i see immediately
These aren't the play
i think you should study the #outlaw-faq especailly the intro
outlaw is doing everything in its power to keep ADR active
it should have >90% uptime
without ADR you do nothing
That was a mistake, i noticed afterwards and it was too late to fix..
but there is a lot of work needed to keep ADR active
since it does not tick down during stealth windows
and everything about the rotation controls the average cooldown on vanish
We had some messy pulls and I lost my ADR at start because the tank died and we all died right after that
I also died a couple of times in the dungeon afterwards
have you got a log where the dungeon was clean?
I'm not sure how much of an effect a death does on the damagemeters
I don't have a dungeon where I haven't died a single time
deaths suck but won't result in 39% ADR
well
sorry this is hard to explain
like looking at the first pull
okay you immediately died which makes more sense of what im seeing
i dont know what to begin
im befuddled at this log
xD is it that bad?
nah it's just hard to make sense of cast timelines instead of a vod sometimes, cant see any cooldown timers
If that's an option I can send a vod of a key after i'm done with it
so
one big part of outlaw
is using the tier set + loaded dice to guarantee 3 buffs from roll the bones
there are not many points where you are reaching 3 buffs
which makes me think something about the RTB rules is not being applied
Is there a standard RTB weakaura that could help with this?
roll the bones falling off causes the tier set to not activate on the next roll
outside of dying, you should not be letting roll the bones completely expire
there is this tracker https://wago.io/TIgC_QiQz
If you want a version with buffs hidden when not rolled: https://wago.io/sHTTf3s4Z Roll the bones WA internally trackin
but there is no WA we fully endorse that is telling you how to play the rules correctly
Alright, i'll get that weakaura, thank you
i think you are pressing keep it rolling at 3 buffs
when it should be 4 buffs
we guarantee 3, then count the odds needs to proc once, we then we KIR immediately
the rtb/kir rules:
- if you have 1-2 buffs and loaded dice active, then you must roll asap to get 3 buffs. with proper gameplay you are maintaining at least 3 buffs for almost all of combat
- after you get 3 normal buffs, once you get a 4th buff from Count the Odds you must immediately use KIR to boost them all
- after you use KIR, once all your buffs are under 39s remaining and you have loaded dice back, you should press roll the bones again to potentially get a 5th or 6th buff
ah
I have pressed roll the bones with 3, yeah
I forgot about the proc counting for the 4th buff
basically this build is all about racking up 4+ rtb buffs at a given moment
it's hard to see exactly why you aren't achieving this, but you aren't
other than RTB expiring, of course
I'll keep it in mind to never let it run out
I'm guessing it has prio of not running out even in Vanish or SD windows, no?
in a perfect world, your opening roll the bones > adrenaline puts you at 1-2 buffs, and then when RTB is off cooldown, you immediately roll to 3 buffs
of course dying instantly pretty much fucks that
if your RTBs would totally expire before stealth then you roll early
before going into stealth
so if all your buffs are < 7 seconds remaining
and vanish/dance are off cd
you roll and then vanish
but yes, even if you enter stealth with low duration buffs, you still have to roll to keep them active
What about the BTE/dispatch casts and PS/ST casts?
what do you mean?
I feel like i'm pressing way less buttons in general, is it due to the low uptime on ADR?
yes
the CPM on abilities in general
ADR lowers your global cooldown to 0.8 seconds
which is
the fastest gcd in the game
so it lets you get 8 globals in a stealth window
Hmmmm
I see
Is there also anything wrong with ST damage?
I'm pressing BF a lot but sometimes it feels awkward to press in boss cleave or 2-3 targets only
you use BF as a combo point builder in 5+ target pulls
other than that you just have to maintain it
Is it not worth it if I don't have opportunity and there's 2-3 targets? Sinister feels horrible to press to build up points in terms of energy usage
it is not worth really
sinister strike is a good global actually
because it can proc opportunity
but also
again without ADR active, and without lots of buffs rolling
you're gonna feel completely useless
cause ADR and your RTB buffs control your energy and combo point efficiency and proc rates etc.
That's what I was thinking too, the ADR uptime is probably destroying my energy usage on sinister strike
Is it normal though that I do so less damage on bosses?
outlaw's ST damage is good enough
In some scenarios, like Bromach's totem it feels unkillable for Outlaw, idk if it's just a me thing
or that the groups I was in happened to lack ST damage in general
outlaw is pretty good at sudden priority dmg
i mean we dont have cooldowns like sub
That's fair enough
Is just sometimes it feels underwhelming
Is there anything else that feels like being pointed out?
well last boss
you had adrenaline rush for 35% of the pull
cant stress this enough that of course it feels underwhelming when that happens
like breath frost dk that cant maintain breath
That's the entire point of dk xD
okay I get the point now
Is it possible to archive this so I can come back to this conversation in the future if I ever forget something?
one thing i see
is finishers used at 4cp, 3cp, 2cp
the first minute of the last boss has 5 finishers used at 2 combo points
could be on accident? we are supposed to use finishers at 6+ combo points outside of stealth, or 5+ combo points inside a stealth window
I think I was trying to fish for echoing reprimand
and ended up panicking in the end
i'm not sure what you mean fish, but don't overthink echoing reprimand
if you happen to land on a blue combo point, you use a finisher on it
if you don't land on a blue cp then oh well
you just continue as normal
sometimes they expire cause you cant hit them
how it goes
Is there a worthiness to it? So like if I only proc 1 of the 3 echoings is not worth pressing the button??
it's not like a super important minigame
well you will almost always hit the blue cps within 45 seconds
every now and then they expire but it's rare
but just saying, you don't put much brainpower into it
you just keep zooming, if you land on blue cp, good
yep
Is it possible for me to have this convo archived?
So I can come back to this whenever?
ahhhh
Alright that's perfect
Thank you a lot for the help, im gonna work on the dummy on ADR uptime and get used to RTB on 7sec or less
if you could log a dummy for a while then it would help to just see the raw rotation instead of mixed with keystone fuckery
and i know you have every cd ready at the start
give me 10 and ill send it here
remember the prepull opener is bf (on nothing) > stealth > roll the bones > adr > snd
and then you open with ghostly strike > echoing reprimand > bte > ...
in aoe you can skip the bf prepull and just open with bf > bte > GS/ER > bte > ...
also before a keystone is placed you can get even fancier
using KIR and then it gets reset
i'm not sure I covered this, but KIR has a mechanic where your boosted buffs don't get rerolled by the next RTB cast
so you boost 4 buffs, KIR them, get loaded dice again, and roll
you may get a 5th or 6th buff
then you are really zooming
i've heard of this cheese strat with a 25sec prepull
here's the log for the training dummy
I'm mainly trying to get the foundations built up before I go into minmaxing territory
Cause I just noticed a lot from hitting the training dummy itself
wait, there's something wrong with the log
wait the log is messed up
let me do it again
here
some things about the opener
echoing reprimand has higher priority than sinister strike
and also a handful of globals have more than a 0.8s gap between them
first stealth window was 7 globals instead of 8 cause of this
i blame lag xD
