You have the cooldowns almost right atleast just need to deal SOD and blades a little longer
also wasting alot of combo points so dmg is just gonna be low need to get a Shadow Technique tracker or something so you know when youre gonna get combo points back
Its really a huge difference on your kill you only have 73 evis + 2 bp casts on a kill someone else had a minute less they have 127 casts + 18 bp

I was hoping this'd be more intuitive than needing a tracker, but you're likely right.

I'm not properly pooling ahead of mechanics. Making sure I have full energy and CP as roots come out, for example. Is this the main thing? What else might be the cause?

Yea you COULD look at your buffs for the secret technique icon, but it will take away alot of your vision for other important mechs

Turns out my little weakaura hud has a number inlaid in the combo points to count the number stored. Didn't realize!

Gotchya, so I'm pushing the "next" gcd too early there, and can use the ST cps to know whether I can double-evis or need a builder

youre not using as many evis as you could be because you are pressing shadowstrike or backstab even though you have full cp

TYVM, this helps a ton. Assuming the same fight length, getting ~ 50% more evis sounds like a large dps gain LOL

yea for sure, I tell this to everyone if you can do the first 30s of the opener correctly outside of that you can do 100% no problem
