i'm no professional, but I was comparing my own logs to some of the world's first, and in my case I noticed a pattern of sending finishers a bit too early (with less than 6cp, 5 in stealth)
because of that i had noticeably less vanish/subterfuge windows, and hence my BtE damage was lower than ambush.
also wowanalyzer was helpful, even though it is a bit out of date
from what i understand, you really really want your BtE damage be higher than ambush, and maintain BtE crit buff as much as possible

after you press kir, you must reroll again once all your buffs are 39s or lower in duration, and you have loaded dice active
this is very important as you kir 4 buffs and then are trying to roll for the 5th or 6th missing buff
also it's basically impossible for me to check if you are following these pistol shot rules

yeah you have to carefully watch builder priority

you had the pistol shot proc active
and 1cp
but you hit sinister strike instead of pistol shot
there are probably a lot of these types of mistakes

for HO you just slam pistol shot when ambush is not available, easy shit

i would not really swap between HO and KIR builds while you are learning because they are so different
