Its hard to gain muscle in a cut because your energy stores are more depleted so you physically cant push yourself as hard
Just start extra fat, don't go to the gym for 4 years, then gain a lot of muscle and strength in a year, while also losing 23kgs

Unfortunately, your body is really really stubborn when it comes to deficits
It’ll just find a way to cut calorie burning elsewhere if you burn x calories doing anything
the only deficit i have is brain deficit
Thats not really what i meant i meant like if you just do day to day things you dont really get the benefits of cardio like even though in your head youre doing cardio activities kinda like in your head you can be saying "I'm eating so little" but if you arent tracking you end up eating extra on little things like oil and spreads and whatnot
Let me reword that because it’s def not just a cardio thing
Like let’s say you move a little more during the day, whether it’s walking, moving heavy boxes, whatever, and burn an extra 300-400 your body will do it’s best to adjust the majority of calories burned (your BMR essentially) to try to get to the magic number it needs to maintain
Which is why diet is so important, it’s really really hard to exercise away a bad diet

When I actually write down/track what I eat down to the exact macros I end up eating hundreds of less calories a day

Yea im saying the same thing would apply to cardio like its extremely likely that you dont do as much cardio as you account for yourself so unless you actually do cardio it doesnt make sense to say your day to day counts

It's just like any other muscle - you just progressively load an exercise
sometimes theres better because something gets you a better eccentric stretch or it puts stronger forces on the start of the movement but thats on that micro optimization shit

Yeah, it's likely because after 5 weeks break I lost muscle and gained some fat.
So my weight remained the same but technically gained weight
And now gaining muscle back just adds on the scale
