Only been partying on a rogue for a little over a week, any/all feedback is appreciated.
I'm reviewing your terros log because it is the easiest to see the fundementals of the class being broken in
this is your opener, and right off the bat, i can see you're unfamiliar with the dance rotation
you mess up ever single dance after this
every time you dance, with TFD talented, the first 4 globals are completely scripted
Dance+GB->Evis->strike->(CB +)sectec->[etc]
the way we're doing it in your opener, we are:
- sectecing too early, this denies a ~12% damage multiplier on our strongest finisher
- vanishing before we strike; this overwrites the premed we get from dancing, basically throwing away cp and SND uptime
- theres also just a weird 1s gap after our vanish that caues us to lose a global in the dance window
You go on to sec tec first in every dance this fight - if the only thing you take way from here is those 4 globals you'll already see an improvement
another easy source of damage you can find is in your finality usage. whenever you see two finality buffs close together like the 3rd and 4th ones are, it means you never consumed it. There was a solid ~90s or so of this 4 minute fight where your rupture was just not doing extra damage. THere are some very game-y single target optimizations to consider with rupture but for now i would just focus on always making sure you can consume the rupture buff outside of dance, even if it means refreshing before the pandemic window
Lastly id sim your rings and trinkets. you're very haste heavy in 3/4 of these slots and im willing to bet you have some lower ilvl stuff that does more than it.

and.. how do i effectively eliminate the finality piece, reading the tooltip am I supposed to rupture twice in a row? I am sure I am missing something there.

More rupture damage with Finality: Rupture.
Reapplying Rupture up to 10 seconds before Shadow Dance comes off cooldown is a damage gain if you have Finality: Rupture buff. Only on pure single target.

I did swap out a ring, unfortunately I dont have other trinketts at all yet, but I know these ones are shit
Danse Macabre gives a 6% multiplier every time you use a new skill in your dance.
Dance (1)+ GB(2)->Evis(3)->strike(4)->sectec(5)->[]
vs: dance(1)+Sectec(2)
for now just track your rupture finality buff w/ a weak aura
theres some optimizations you can worry about later
but you just want to make sure ur consuming the buff
the line from the wowhead guide is the optimization in pure st
its something you want to be aware of but the gain is so small compared to just playing correctly, we want to get the fundementals down before we start trying to squeeze out .1-.3% gains
